I would like to offer my services as a private tutor for mathematics, physics and chemistry for the orientation cycle (secondary I) and for biology in secondary II. I currently teach in a private school in Geneva and prepare students for the federal and cantonal maturity. I also teach various school programs including the international baccalaureate, the IGCSE and the French baccalaureate. I have a PhD in science and a teaching diploma from the University of Geneva. I also have significant experience as a tutor, having had the opportunity to support students of different levels, allowing them to develop a better understanding of fundamental concepts and improve their academic results. My teaching method is based on a personalized approach, adapted to the needs and pace of each student. I try to make scientific subjects accessible and stimulating by using concrete examples and varied exercises. My goal is not only to support students in their academic journey, but also to transmit to them a real passion for science and a working method adapted so that they become autonomous. I am available for private lessons at home or online, depending on the preferences of the students and their parents. I have graduated in Biomedical Science (BSc Hons) at the University of Birmingham and have a Master’s of Research in Public Health from the University of Manchester. I have advanced expertise in oncology, cell biology and epidemiology and thus can provide tutoring from a position of someone who has pursued a career in science. I spent 5 years working in clinical research, including a role in Melanoma clinical trials as a Research Portfolio Manager at The Christie Hospital. I have now left clinical research as I have returned to education to study Medicine (Graduate Entry) and can thus provide medical interview coaching. Additionally, I have previous experience working in secondary schools across the UK. I am available for Science tutoring at GCSE and Biology at A-level. Most of my experience is with the AQA syllabus but I am also open to tutoring with OCR. Primarily, I deliver online tutoring, but am willing to consider 1-1 in person tutoring for those who are located close to Liverpool city centre or the University of Liverpool. I will aim to provide customised supportive learning and will ensure that I take time to establish the specific learning needs of each student. I am very friendly and approachable and will go above and beyond to support the goals of those I teach. Let me know if you have any questions!
