Hello! I am Dohyun from South Korea. I am a second-year jazz drum student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have 3 years of experience teaching drums at music schools in Korea and Vietnam. I am open-minded as a musician and as a person, I like to have a relaxed, joyful class, and I also value basic, fundamental stuff, rhythm, and harmony. Percussion includes many instruments, from the one you hear in the orchestra, to African/Latin percussion, or to the pitched keyboard percussion. For beginner, you will learn 2 basic instruments, snare drum and marimba (keyboard instrument). From then, we will not only work on these 2 instruments , but the rest in the percussion family. I also offer drum set lessons for beginner. If you are already a skilled percussionist, I can also offer more advanced lessons, from strengthening your techniques, musicality to conservatory audition preparation. I have a background of 7 years of classical piano and I also have been studing and playing Jazz (drums) for the past 8 years of my life (currently finishing my studies in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. My goal is to teach people with no experience in music or drums and want to learn the basics of music theory, solfège and drums but also to more experienced students who want to improve their technique, coordination, sound, groove, etc. I can also teach different musical genres on the drums, depending on the taste of the student
