Body awareness and breathing techniques Not only wind players benefit from doing sport, acquiring good posture habits, and being aware of their breath. It helps everyone in every single aspect of their lives. A good breathing technique will let you play easily, run for a longer period of time, or sleep better at night. Recording and producing Let's face it, we are in the 21st century and the possibilities of technology are endless in the audiovisual field. Then, we would go into working on your specific goals. Perhaps, we are practicing music that demands improvement on the higher register, maybe we are working out different scales for improvisation, or it might be the case that you want to discover a new genre and go deep into it. Reading music, ear training, phrasing, music theory, buzzing and embouchure position, articulations (legato, staccato, accents), dynamics... These are only an indication of what we might work on. The final minutes of your lesson will be the moment to relax. Currently studying classical trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I started my musical studies in Guyana and New Caledonia. When I arrived in Paris, I had the chance to benefit from the teaching of Guy Touvron (Schola Cantorum) and Clément Saunier (CRR de Paris) for about 4 years. I was also able to benefit, through masterclasses, from the advice of great world-famous trumpeters such as Allen Vizzuti (USA), Thomas Hooten (USA), Hakan Hardenberger (Sweden), David Guerrier (France), Miroslav Petkov (Bulgaria ) ... I suggest you discover and / or deepen the technique of the trumpet; having worked for a long time with a physiotherapist specialized for musicians, we will be able to address points such as posture, breathing techniques, projection, opening of sound .... Essential points for building a game that is both healthy and staff ! Also, my teaching combines music theory and the aspects allowing to better understand and feel the music, that is to understand at the same time in a theoretical and musical way what the score releases. Dorian is a seasoned trumpet teacher and performer with over 20 years of experience. He has a BM in Music Education, MM in Trumpet Performance, worked 5 years as a Music Director and lead trumpet player on Carnival Cruise lines and has continued freelance trumpet lifestyle. He now teaches trumpet online and from his home studio in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is also the owner of Triplo Press, one of the world’s largest publishing companies of trumpet ensemble music. In addition, he runs trumpet clinics for schools, where he teaches students how to improve their sound, endurance, jazz skills, ensemble playing, and trumpet ensemble creation. Some of his former students have been accepted to prestigious music schools such as University of North Texas, Oberlin, and Ithaca.

I am a London based music educator, working for many Music Hubs and Institutions across the city. My teaching experience is broad and deep: brass instruments, theory, music production, arranging and more; from primary schools to university lecturing. My teaching method is as follows without the instrument: Awareness of the breath, placement of the mask (lips, tongue, palate, throat), body position. With the instrument: The air column, the position of the mouthpiece, the work and the position of the tongue. How to be enduring on the trumpet and get tired as little as possible. For the advanced: work on the treble, the brass section, precision, Cat Anderson's whisper g, the choice of mouthpieces, the piccolo trumpet.
