I work in a natural way, and from the first lesson you will be able to speak simple sentences. As a general rule, I teach my lessons in Italian, so that you get effective 'full immersion' from the start (support languages such as Dutch, English or French are used if absolutely necessary). I will teach you how Italian grammar works and how to best conduct a conversation with a native speaker. I teach you the language that is spoken today and Italian through fun and interactive lessons.

Hello everyone! I'm Matteo, an experienced Italian teacher and native speaker settled in Antwerp. As known, learning a language is learning another way to think about things; that’s why learning Italian will help you to get in touch with the richness of italian culture. The lessons will be tailored around your needs and preferences: in our first lesson we will talk about your goals and we will assess your level of Italian in order to offer you an efficent learnig program. We then focus on reading comprehension, discussing passages and exploring language nuances. Writing tasks are assigned, with personalized feedback provided to aid in improvement. The class wraps up with a summary of key points and feedback, ensuring students feel supported and motivated in their language learning journey.

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

I am an external Italian curator during the official “Plida” certifications. I have a C1 level in English and Spanish, I am also an Italian speaker and have extensive experience teaching children.
