Hello! I'm Edoardo, a violin player from Italy who is here in Antwerp to attend a specialization course in orchestra. I graduated with full marks in Violin and Chamber Music at the Conservatoire of Parma, and I play in both youth and professional orchestras in and outside Italy. I'm very willing to share what I've learnt in these years, so feel free to contact me if you're interested in taking violin lessons!

After completing my Bachelor's degree in violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, I did a year of Erasmus at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, in Germany. From September, I will start my Master at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen. Discovering new ways of learning is very important to me. I like to seize opportunities and meet inspiring musicians during Masterclasses in Belgium and abroad. Perseverance and work, while respecting oneself, are for me the keys to long-term progress. Learning music with kindness is the most important thing for me. I adapt to the needs and desires of each student, so that the process is personalized and motivating. Being able to pass on my passion enriches me enormously and allows me to acquire new skills as a musician. I teach in French and English. I also have some German and I plan to learn Dutch this year.

I have been teaching violin and music in general for the past 7 years working, with every kind of student, from children to adults, professional and amateur, beginner and not. I am a very patient teacher and I always try to find many different material and new stimuli to exercise and stay motivated. The goal is to give you the tools to express yourself through music, expand your skills and musical imagination, having fun in the process. I completed my musical studies in Italy, but I had the chance to spend some time studying and playing in Belgium and Austria too. Alongside teaching, I play in orchestras and ensembles and I also continued studying, getting a master degree in baroque violin.

First, let's remember what we're talking about. Music is and always has been inherent in all human societies. It has many roles and is a very powerful language. It's a universe in itself... Music, and the violin in particular, brings me enormous joy every day. In fact, joy is, in my opinion, the greatest source of motivation given to us on earth. So, quite logically, I place it at the heart of my lessons. It would be an illusion to pretend that learning to play the violin is a simple matter! So I accept the challenge, often neglected, to do everything I can to convey my enjoyment of playing the violin. By the way, as I just wrote, in French you don't say "travailler le violon", you say "jouer du violon". So even though the road is hard, I will do everything I can to make it fun. My lessons are adapted to all levels, ages and profiles. Together with each student, I strive to find the most suitable tests, so that everyone learns as effectively as possible and, above all, with pleasure! I attach great importance to the correct use and well-being of the body. Playing the violin not only involves the cerebral and the emotional, it is also a complex physical exercise! For those who have already had lessons, I try to consciously or unconsciously replace bad habits learned with good ones, and for beginners to immediately install the correct automatisms. I give individual lessons. But sometimes I bring students together to learn to play together and perform in public. Attending other people's lessons can also be very helpful in gaining a better understanding of the various mechanisms of the violin. Violin classes for beginners and intermediates, focusing on technical and interpretative aspects. Musical arrangement classes for different instrumental formats and sheet music transcription. I make recordings of violins and string ensembles. The teaching methodology is based on understanding the technical and musical learning process, progressive study with examples performed by the teacher, using academic and popular repertoire, scale and arpeggio systems, and exercises for developing muscle memory.

Violin lessons for beginners I can teach you the violin from scratch to professionalism, and this will include teaching musical notation, writing and reading. We can start by learning the principles of music and then gradually move to training on the violin. There will be a special book for teaching.

In this violin course you will learn a foundation in learning one of the most rewarding instruments in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.
