Concertist Celloist Gives Cello Lessons

The cello has a unique sound that changes depending on the style you are interpreting. For example, baroque music and contemporary music differ greatly in their interpretation and playing style. What styles of music do you like to play the most on the cello? I will be happy to help you play your favorite pieces of pop, world or classical music and make the lessons interesting and motivating. Thanks to the instrument, you can convey all the depths of human emotions, which makes music even more loved and stay in your heart for a lifetime.

The cello is a beautiful instrument from the family of string instruments with a warm, deep sound. The instrument offers the opportunity to play in a wide variety of formations, from solo to in a large orchestra. I have completed an artistic degree and am currently doing a master's degree in education at the Bern University of the Arts. I have already taught for two and a half years in Hanover, where I lived before, and would like to pass on my passion to children. I make my lessons as varied and stimulating as possible - the focus is on fun and games. I also like to improvise with my students on the instrument and am open to all kinds of ideas, including when it comes to the repertoire. But I also have a plan for how I will learn exercises, songs and pieces with the students, depending on their level of difficulty.

I welcome applications of all ages and levels who would like to learn cello playing in a personalized way through different methods. After obtaining my Master’s degree in performance orientation, I am currently doing my Master's degree in instrumental pedagogy at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern. My goal is to guide my students in the discovery of the cello repertoire and technique by using innovative learning methods and the synthesis of the different styles of music.

I teach my students how to play the cello and use it to express their inner voice. I'm currently doing my master's at Luzern Hoschule and I have already taught privately for 5 years and was also a professor at a music academy. I always try to pick the artistic side of my students and give them the tools to express themselves. Every class will be adapting to the student's struggles and evolution. My student's ages go from early age to adult and elderly.

Through the arts, I like to learn, exchange and discover ever more innovative ways of combining them. Through improvisation, movement, playful methods and various musical styles, I would be delighted to introduce you to the cello and/or harp and to pass on my experience and passion for music and teaching, to both children and adults, of all levels, in the cities of Bern, Geneva and Lausanne. Together, we communicate and establish your goals by listening to your wishes, in a relaxed atmosphere and with the pleasure of playing and experiencing music!

Hi! I'm Lucia. Italian professional young cellist, graduated with highest marks in Italy, now attending the Master Performance at HKB Bern. I have already experience in teaching cello and music theory for people from 5 to 99 years. I offer individual private Cello lessons and Music Theory lessons, in English, Italian and basic German.

Together we can develop your skill as a cello player, building a strong technical and musical foundation. We will find a learning style that best suits you. My name is Nico and I am a professional musician based in Tilburg. I offer classical cello piano lessons for all levels and age. In these lessons, we will create goals on what you want to learn and the steps for it. I will teach you so you can achieve this through practice techniques, instrumental techniques, learning the theory behind the music, be creative and most importantly to have fun! We will learn repertoire based on a combination of what you like / want and a selection of pieces that I think will suite you and be beneficial for your practice. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres.
