Singing lessons: improve your vocal skills and enjoy !

These lessons are made for beginners, intermediate singers who want to get deeper into their vocal possibilities. During the first half hour, we do a few vocal and physical exercises to warm up, discuss and identify what you want to improve or learn, and I am gonna give you keys and paths to reach your goals. The second half of the lesson is purely based on interpretation. I accompany you on the piano, and we sing the songs you chose. We try to work on different songs as often as possible to keep it as fun as possible !
I can also help you on writing/interpreting your own songs if you are into writing !

I also studied music for 5 years at the Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional of Nice, France.

These courses are intended for singers of levels, beginners to intermediates who wish to improve their vocal skills, as well as for people wishing to better control their voice and gain confidence in situations such as public speaking. The course is generally carried out in two parts: A first part devoted to vocal development and technique centered on three essential points: The agility, placement and connection of vocal registers. After a complete warm-up based on bodily and vocal exercises, I offer you technical exercises adapted to your needs and your level. My role is to give you the keys and directions to achieve your goals as quickly and with maximum pleasure. This part of the work is essential and should in no way constitute an obstacle to learning, which is why I listen to your desires and feelings to best adapt the technical work and make it a real daily ritual. A second part completely focused on interpretation. Let's not forget, the goal of this class is to sing! And the best key to progress and to sing what you like. If you play an instrument, I have guitars and pianos so that you can accompany yourself, otherwise, I would be happy to accompany you on the piano to sing the songs of your choice. We try to work on different songs to make learning as fun as possible! I can also help you write and perform your own songs if you are composing!

Matteo
Vocal technique for all types of modern singing, pop, swing and jazz singing lessons, vocal coach, voice work.
Do you want to know the register of your voice? Can you sing the higher notes without hurting your voice? Learn how to do pass marks? Getting to have a powerful but also agile voice? I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer and voice teacher with 20 years of experience in music. I offer singing lessons at all levels. My classes focus on the development of bodily, muscular and vocal awareness which helps to perceive and consider our body as a musical instrument. My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse courses of study followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and the learning of musical language (jazz or pop or other genre). The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of the abdominal muscles, to the emission of air up to the cavities of resonance. We will work on the sound, on the extension of the voice, on the high and low notes, on the passage of register, on the control, on the power and the agility. From a repertoire point of view, the course will be modeled on the needs or interests of the student, with an eye to the right attitude to hold while you sing and you are on a stage. I can prepare the student for the entrance exam to the conservatory and any form of audition. If the student wishes, I can give him notions of harmony and reading music.

Jean-Philippe
Tout chanter !
A pioneering and innovative method of singing practice created in Denmark by Cathrine Sadolin twenty years ago, adopted by thousands of amateur and professional singers around the world. First, you have the possibility of increasing your comfort by applying the 3 basic principles for a healthy voice: Support, Twang and opening of the mouth. Then, it is a question of choosing the character of sound that you want to produce, by modifying the adjustment (the shape) which you give to your vocal tract (zone of the larynx, the mouth and the lips), one speaks then the mode in which you sing. -There is the Neutral mode which refers to soft sounds. -The Curbing mode whose sounds are a little louder and restrained. -Overdrive mode for loud and powerful sounds. -And finally the Edge mode for loud and sharp sounds. Anyone can use the 4 modes and switch between them. When you are in control and know the limitations, advantages and disadvantages of each of these modes, you will in fact be able to sing exactly what you want. you have access to several tools to acquire these new skills and this in-depth understanding of your voice. Before committing yourself, I would like you to think about your motivation, whether you are a beginner, an amateur or a professional, I work exclusively with people who are involved in their learning process.

Lyrical singing lessons, contemporary music, choir direction and musical training
Private lessons should be a source of pleasure above all else. I offer singing, conducting and musical training lessons at home for all levels and ages, from curious beginners to more experienced singers. The goal is to approach notions of vocal technique while working on the body and breathing. Several other aspects can be addressed such as notions of choir conducting or orchestra conducting. During a class, I start with a warm-up based on the body and breathing, then we tackle the piece of music to be worked on. Whenever possible, I accompany the songs on the piano, especially for pieces of contemporary music. The main point of my lessons is to take pleasure in discovering or rediscovering your voice while deepening your knowledge in a relaxed and caring manner.
