Maths tutor for all ages and abilities. Happy to help with exam preparation
Maths is a highly useful skill in all areas of life as well as most fields of industry. Maths has been a passion of mine since my school days where I managed to achieve an A at A-level in one year. My focus was mechanics and calculus but my teaching skills extend to all levels of from A-level below. My focus on teaching is to try and bring maths alive with the more fascinating ways in which different areas of maths can conjoin and impact the real world. Why are beehives hexagonal shaped for example? Why do spider webs mimic certain road maps? I've been a chess tutor as well as a maths tutor for some years and enjoy the process of teaching, having taught students as young as 5 all the way up to adults. Feel free to contact me whatever level you're at whether studying for an exam, or just curious to enhance your understanding!

London School of Economics Master's student in Mathematics with one year experience in preparing students for IB. Currently tutoring student
We will work on your understanding of the most important concepts by doing practice exercises. We will start with the easiest ones and we will gradually increase the difficulty as you progress. Additionally, we will do lots of past papers, especially if you want to prepare for a specific examination. We are going to keep track of your level and mark your improvements session by session. During our sessions, we can focus on different areas of Maths according to your needs, from Algebra and Calculus to Statistics and Probability. Additionally, we can work on exam taking techniques such as Time Management and how to practice effectively for an exam. I am excited to tutor other people that want to learn Maths, because I get to share my passion for the subject while making a positive impact. To me, it is a very rewarding experience, because of the feeling of accomplishment to help others succeed.

Private Maths and Physics lessons in French or English, French lessons
Recent graduate from a French engineering school, I am now a postgraduate student at Imperial College. I have always loved mathematics and I would like to share my love for the science with anyone who needs it. My goal is to make maths and physics simpler and funnier to study in order to help as many students as I can. I have already given mathematics classes in France and have developed a certain way of working. Usually, I first go over the lecture with the student, we read the principles and I take as much time is needed to answer any questions they might have. Then, we move on to exercises for the student to practice and apply what was learned in the lecture. The only key really in to go at your pace, there is no rush and the goal is for you to reach the understanding you desire.

Camille
Centrale Paris student in master at Imperial College, tutoring & private lessons, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Info
Hello, I am a student at Ecole Centrale de Paris, currently in the Msc Sustainable Energy Futures master's degree at Imperial College London. I offer private lessons in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and engineering, for students from middle school to high school. I had the opportunity to deepen these subjects through two years of preparatory classes at Stanislas (MPSI & PSI *) then an engineer training. I therefore offer a follow-up adapted to each one, with an emphasis on learning the course and exercises of increasing difficulty in order to work over the long term. This method works: the 3 students I followed last year all increased their grades in a few weeks. I can go home in the Hammersmith / Earl's Court / Kensington and surrounding areas, or by videoconference. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, Camille

Chemistry lessons for university students by Oxford uni post-doc / teaching lang: English / communication in French available
I offer private lessons in Chemistry to school students following French, British, IB or American systems. Being a PhD-holder in Chemistry from Imperial College London, I also offer support to chemistry students at university level. Classes are delivered online via Zoom. In my classes: - I encourage asking relevant questions and I am willing to repeat explanations as much as necessary. - I use technological tools and web interfaces to provide visual support to verbal explanations, which I consider a key part of effective teaching. - I share my own, tailored, class notes and encourage the student to take notes him/herself as practice. - We solve problems and I also assign homework and correct it in the following lesson. After my classes, I share my notes with my students to help them retain the information and revise.
