Passionate about multidisciplinary artistic creation, he thinks of the mixing of all the arts in the same show as an aesthetic goal. This type of research could be observed in his project for his final master's recital in Brussels where he created a project based on Maslow's theory of the hierarchy of human needs where he mixed live, recorded music, dance, light shows and effects under the name: “according to Maslow... ” In terms of his career as a concert artist, he has played in different ensembles (solo performances, duo, trio, quartet, orchestra...) and different countries such as Japan (Artisanal Musical Fair "Suono Italia" 2010), Belgium (Festival Musiq3 2016), Artonov Festival at BOZAR in 2016...), France (Dax chamber music festival 2011) or Spain (Music Festival “Quincena Musical” 2015, Aste Nagusia 2015, Heineken Jazzaldia 2014, Festival Kutxa 2015, Intercentros Melómano 2010).

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player. I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor. I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco. In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso. I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe. I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop. I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3). During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms.
