Préparation personnalisée pour Bachelor et/ou Master en Économie en Anglais ou Français!Hello to every type of student seeking success further than school classrooms or university amphitheaters!
My name is Oliver, I am candidating for a master's degree of Science in Economics at the University of Geneva. This year is my last year being a student and I would gladly help you meet the same success I encountered until today.
Before focusing on this fascinating topic, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in International Relations and my Swiss maturity ( baccalaureate) with a specialization in mathematics and physics. I've also won two prizes, one for accomplishing the highest average in my city and the second one coming from the Swiss Rotary Club for my student life and other accomplishments.
I’ve been tutoring for five years multiple students struggling with mathematics. My method and approach to the topic allowed them to unlock their potential and become more confident in their courses.
I believe that with my experience and your determination, we could together accomplish significant progress and prepare you for your next exam session assiduously!
Contact me as soon as possible to better your study routine! :)))
Topics :
French, Mathematics, Physics, English, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Statistics,

Economics and Mathematics Tutoring for A level and GCSEI am offering one-on-one tutoring for A-Level and GCSE students during my postgraduate studies. I have two years of experience tutoring children and teenagers mathematics, as well as an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge. I have plenty of flexibility, particularly Sunday through to Wednesday.
For new students, I tend to begin by going though the relevant curriculum and identifying strengths and weaknesses. After that, I will tailor our lessons appropriately to suit your needs and situation. For example, students earlier in their studies may benefit from reinforcing concepts learned in class, while exam strategy and worked solutions could be more productive close to the exam.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch. Testimonials can be provided upon request!

Finanzas para niños: Aprende a gestionar tu dineroFinancial literacy is an important skill for kids to learn at an early age.
I know many adults who would have loved learning about it earlier.
They will learn about saving money, spending money wisely, and managing their finances.
First, they will learn and think about how and why saving money:
- short-term and long-term goals they can save for (e.g. a toy, a trip, college education).
- how to create a budget and track their spending.
- Compound interest and the impact of starting to save early.
How to spend money wisely:
- difference between needs and wants.
- how to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions.
- learn what is impulse buying and method to take the time to think before spending.
How to managing money:
- Keeping track of spending and creating a budget
- Different types of bank accounts, type of money and currencies
- learn what are credits, how they work and how it can impact their finances in the future.

Bilingualism and Code-Switching: by popular demandIn these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students.
Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English.
My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual.
For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

GCSE and A Level Economics Classes with "The Tutor"You already know a lot more about economics than you might imagine. Each day, you make economic decisions, such as choosing between two teachers at Apprentus. You also come to class with years of experience in Economic matters. If you are in the UK and are 14 years old and above, you might have worked part-time before and therefore supplied your labour. Supply of labour is an important concept that you might have heard of or learnt about. Do not worry if it is new to you - you may study it if you take this class. But as you may have realized, it is something related to work, so if you have worked before, you know it already.
Given students' prior experiences, I teach through examples that draw on these experiences. These examples build bridges from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Through this approach to teaching, I became one of the sought-after Economics tutors in my previous schools, where I worked with students at Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering in them a love for Economics.
I bring a well-rounded understanding of AQA AS/A level and GCSE Economics Specifications and familiarity with the following textbooks:
1. Powell, James., Powell, Ray., & Horner, David. (2023). AQA a-Level Economics (5th ed.). Hodder
Education Group (AQA Approved)
2. McEachern, W. A. . (2006). Economics: a contemporary introduction (7th ed.). Thomson/South-Western.
Though the course is designed to help learners studying AQA GCSE or A Level Economics, it is appropriate for learners studying other specifications such as ORC Economics and all lovers of the subjects.
