Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

My name is Davy, I am 34 years old and have had the guitar in my fingers for 25 years. I graduated from the Music Academy Tongeren for both classical and electric guitar. In addition, I attended 2 years of Conservatory Jazz at LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens Institute. I started teaching in various situations since I was 16, both group lessons and individual lessons on instrument and music theory. Sharing my knowledge with others has always been a great passion. That is why I now offer private lessons tailored to my needs where I live in Leuven. This for both acoustic, classical and electric guitar in a range of styles. What you can expect is not a fixed course that we go over from A to Z, but a course that we build ourselves, as it were, focused on your musical taste, knowledge and goal on your instrument. Together with you, I will look at how I can teach you the necessary basics in a way that you can use it best for the genres you want to learn to play. I look forward to going on this musical journey of discovery with you!

Have you always wanted to play guitar or had the musical curiosity to develop your skills on a 6-string? Or maybe you’d like your children to learn an instrument? Learning guitar is a great way to further explore your own capabilities and to develop a deeper enjoyment and understanding of music. Music is, also, a very powerful tool for emotional self-regulation. I have years of experience performing for live audiences with local bands in different countries (Mexico, USA, Germany, Belgium), from rock, metal, blues, indie, pop, and even folk. I always adapt my lessons to the student’s intuition and to what the student wants to achieve (from learning their favorite songs to particular techniques). To enjoy and have fun playing is always very central to my lessons. You can also add basic music theory, and some singing techniques to broaden your musical experience (only the basic singing lessons would represent an extra cost). Let’s awaken the dormant artist in you!

Piano lessons adapted to your taste and level. You tell us what you expect from the lessons so that I can give you optimal piano lessons. For example: you want to learn to read and play piano pieces. I must also give you the relevant theory. It is your choice to study additional theory, but it is not necessary. My lessons are therefore efficiently oriented. As a student, you can ultimately choose which piano pieces we work on (it must first be approved by me), so that playing the piano remains fun and educational. I cover classical music, pop music, video games, movies, anime music, etc... so many genres! Another example: you want to make a piano cover of an existing piece (e.g. pop music or movie music). I will give you the theory of chords and reading staves. This way you can get started quickly. Together we will practice enough so that you understand everything well! We can also improvise together on your piano. Feel free to message us if you have any questions :) I have already given private lessons to adults, teenagers and children both online and in person. Both options work great! We do this online via Skype or another app if desired. Physically we do it in Leuven city centre, where there is a handy large indoor bicycle shed. Ideally I teach once a week, you then continue practicing on your piano at home towards the next lesson the following week. If you would like lessons every other week or lessons twice a week, that is also possible for me. Why choose to learn to play the piano? It has been scientifically proven that playing an instrument makes someone smarter (good brain training). You can show your piano skills to others, but you can also make yourself happy and reward through your piano. Together with my students I look for what they would like to be able to do on the guitar. We discover the instrument and its music in its full glory: the warm sounds, the percussive attack and countless colorful chords. I myself have been playing guitar for 13 years and have just completed (September 2022) my master classical guitar at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven (Belgium). I am currently further specializing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I am extremely passionate about music and love to pass that passion on. No prior knowledge of music is required. Lessons can be held at my home, while traveling, or online!

I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven. I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens. I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE. As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble. As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy. Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age. At the same time, I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop and rock. Zhaoyi, B.Mus, M.Mus, is a pianist, chamber musician. Having earned her Master of Music in Classical Piano Performance from LUCA School of Arts, Belgium, and Bachelor of Music in Musicology and Piano Pedagogy from the conservatory in China. Committed to music education, I am equipped with 6 years experiences in teaching piano for students at all ages, including being a music educator and piano teacher at Art Center, Piano Institute. I can teach in English and Chinese.

Graduated in Music - Having studied piano (classical) at the University of Évora (Portugal), Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Aquiles Delle Vigne International Music Academy. She is currently studying a Masters in Performance at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, Belgium. I have a lot of experience in teaching piano and music theory in different musical styles and theoretical/musical training from children to adults, in official conservatories, music schools and private lessons, In my classes I try to share my musical knowledge, both practically and theoretically. The courses are aimed at those who want to have more direct contact with music, whether for the first time or not. I take great pleasure in teaching and I give great importance to each student. I like to choose repertoire that matches both student's musical tastes and technical work in need. I always try to encourage students and provide quality teaching. Guitar lessons for (absolute) beginners with a bit of theory, I have been playing at the rock school in Leuven for 2 years and am also in a band. We will learn the basic chords/riffs together...and based on your interests we will also learn songs. I don't have a lot of experience, but I can help you take your first steps in guitar.

I'm a professional pianist playing piano for already 20 years. I'm the Third prize winner of the European International piano competition in Italy, and my academic studies include following: - Master in Piano Performance in Leuven, Belgium - Master in Piano Performance at the International University of Valencia, Spain -Bachelor in Piano Performance at the Higher Conservatory in Salamanca, Spain and Musikhochschule Freiburg, Germany I have given concerts in several concert halls in Spain and Germany. I would be glad to help you improve in your playing! The music styles I teach are classical music and pop music. The most important thing for me when I teach, is to make the student feel comfortable and enjoy when playing, while improving musically and technically. I can also show you some specific exercises to improve your technique. I can teach you in English, Spanish, Dutch or German.
