Piano classes for all levels from beginner to advance with theory

Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

Together with my students I look for what they would like to be able to do on the guitar. We discover the instrument and its music in its full glory: the warm sounds, the percussive attack and countless colorful chords. I myself have been playing guitar for 13 years and have just completed (September 2022) my master classical guitar at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven (Belgium). I am currently further specializing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I am extremely passionate about music and love to pass that passion on. No prior knowledge of music is required. Lessons can be held at my home, while traveling, or online!

Zhaoyi, B.Mus, M.Mus, is a pianist, chamber musician. Having earned her Master of Music in Classical Piano Performance from LUCA School of Arts, Belgium, and Bachelor of Music in Musicology and Piano Pedagogy from the conservatory in China. Committed to music education, I am equipped with 6 years experiences in teaching piano for students at all ages, including being a music educator and piano teacher at Art Center, Piano Institute. I can teach in English and Chinese.

20 year old student in Leuven who likes to help people get a lot of pleasure / support from playing the classical guitar. Just graduated after 11 years of conservatory classical guitar. 9 years basic diploma and 2 years specialization classical guitar. In addition, followed the following courses: music theory / music history / improvisation (this on electric guitar) / band coaching / ensemble playing / rock school ... I love teaching and sharing music. I have extensive experience in the field of classical music but also as a singer-songwriter or other music styles. I like to discover the interests of each student and offer content that fuels their enthusiasm for making music and continuing to learn.

Since I was 4 years old, piano has taken a big place in my life and heart, because my father has taught me ever since. I am extremely excited to share my passion with interested people, whatever their age! I pay a lot of attention to the position at the piano, so that no injuries occur. I also talk a lot about musical lines and how to produce a good sound on the piano. If you have not taken solfège, I am very happy to help with that as well along with the piano study. Playing the piano is very personal for everyone, both technically and musically. That is why I think it is very important to look for the best solutions and adapt to each individual student, so that he or she can create his or her own bond with music. I am currently finishing my Masters with Jan Vermeulen at Luca School of Arts, Leuven.

I am a master's student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. I give piano lessons at my home (Kessel-lo or in Herent) on a grand piano (also possible on location (+ extra fee)) The lessons last 1 hour (recommended), also possibility up to 30 minutes. Open for beginners to advanced pianists, young and old :) I prefer classical music, for me this is the basis for playing the piano. Of course I adjust to the student's preference, so jazz, film music ,. is also possible :) Piano lessons are given in Dutch, French or English. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. He seeks the most suitable approach for each student, respecting their learning pace, helping overcome difficulties, and exploring their strengths, always encouraging progress. I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience. Classes: Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;)) My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it. Practical: I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility.
