Using jazz music as my specialism, I am able to teach even the most technically challenging concepts in their most basic forms and transfer them to the guitar in their most simple terms. I have taught the guitar, music theory and GCSE and A-Level Music syllabuses for six years to students of all ages and abilities and across every imaginable genre.

I tailor my teaching to the student, so in a first lesson I like to get to know you a little bit, hear about your ideas, your goals and what your relationship to the instrument is. Music is a valuable skill that aids learning in other fields too. I would teach basic music theory, and children's music, introducing basic music concepts. I have also attended a music conservatoire from Sept 2016- Aug 2021, playing the cello, and so can teach this for grades 1-3.

I have taught for the last 25 years, privately as a piano, theory, composition, GCSE, A-level and undergraduate/postgraduate degrees, orchestration, history and musicianship/aural tutor with fellowships/posts at the Royal College of Music, London College of Fashion, London College of Communication, and the University of the Arts London. I have taught children from the age of 4+ up to adults (70+). I teach mainly online. I am a professional pianist who has studied in St Petersburg Conservatory (in Russia) and at the moment work as a pianist, organist and concertmaster in different locations and I am willing to share my knowledge with people who have a passion for music.
