I am a student of Classical Philology at the University of Valencia, with great teaching skills and ease of explanations. Latin, Ancient Greek, English and Spanish are the foundations of the study of the humanities in Spain. Classical languages are essential to be able to understand our language and a great help in learning other languages. My teaching methodology is to consolidate the foundations of the subject with simple but well-explained examples, with the aim of improving the understanding of languages from their roots.

Applications for Classics at Oxford and Cambridge both involve a language assessment, for which I provide expert tutoring and guidance in as a first-class Classics and English graduate from Oxford. Classics at Oxford uses the Classics Admissions Test (CAT) for Course I (for students with Latin/Greek to A Level) or the Classical Language Aptitude Test (CLAT) for Course II (for students without Latin/Greek) to decide who will be invited for interview. At Cambridge only candidates shortlisted for interview will be required to take such assessment, which will be a translation exercise for the 3-year course, or a language aptitude interview for the 4-year. All assessments involve careful application of linguistic knowledge, whether of classical languages or English, which I will ensure you are extremely well-prepared to do. Applicants are also required to submit two pieces of written work prior to interview, which I am able to advise about if requested.

Hello! I am Andrés and I have a degree in Classical Philology. I teach Latin and ancient Greek classes, at all levels, both for school reinforcement and if you want to learn these two languages for pleasure. In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281). The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory. I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place. Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum"). As a graduate with a BA in Latin and Ancient Greek and a MA in Biblical Hebrew, I offer private Latin, Ancient Greek, and Biblical Hebrew classes both for students who seek private tutoring and for those who wish to learn these languages even more in-depth.
