My goal as a teacher is for students to learn to master the language in an authentic way. -I don't do exam preparation.- Classes revolve around interactive activities and spontaneous, in-depth conversations (to the extent each student allows). Communicating across languages is key to cognitive development and goes far beyond memorizing words: it's an opportunity to discover our own identity from a different perspective. To begin, I always do a couple of tests that help me profile the student from various areas, not just the level, and with that, I work with the individual to develop the class strategy, from frequency to method. I have worked with students of all ages, with diverse learning styles and unique needs, and while they often fit within certain parameters that correspond to pre-established teaching methodologies, each one is unique and deserves a personalized approach that respects their own pace.
