Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.

Mathieu is an exceptional French teacher who truly understands his students' needs. He personalizes each class, tailoring the lessons to suit my goals and challenges. Although I studied French in secondary school and high school, I had forgotten much of it. Now, living in France and needing the language for professional purposes, I couldn't have found a better teacher. Mathieu quickly grasped my struggles and explains everything in a way that's clear and easy to follow. Thanks to his teaching, I already feel significant progress in both my confidence and skills. It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class.
