Dear, Student in Master of Psycho-Sociology and employee at Kangourou Kids, I would really like to be an integral part of your teaching team. As part of homework help with children aged 12 and 10, I was able to put into practice my theoretical knowledge in teaching that I assimilated in class and through my personal reading. I was able to discover how essential soft skills are to the exercise of this profession because these skills make it possible to understand the student by apprehending his mental paterns and thought architectures in order to adapt to them. By securing it, they lead the student to get out of anxiety-provoking paradigms such as the fear of failure, the overestimation of the difficulty, the devaluation of his aptitudes which inhibit learning. Obstacles often arise from vicious circles where the more the student encounters concerns, the more he will lose interest in the subject. Subsequent to his unpleasant experience, this can lead him to lose interest, unfortunately even to the point of rejecting the discipline by cutting off its appropriation (for example: "maths, it's not for me"). Negative experiences induce avoidance and flight-thought behaviors such as loss of concentration and digressions. Teaching fascinates me because it allows to short-circuit these mental reflexes and to propose alternative methods to those previous when the latter did not correspond to the student. Over the course of the successes, the child again welcomes the reading grids specific to the subject. This relearning process contributes to giving him the keys to being comfortable with the ways of thinking conveyed by the discipline. There will be a virtuous circle where the more easily he handles these mental tools, the more confidence in him and in discipline will be self-evident. This approach will be very encouraging and his relationship with the material will become fulfilling. The challenge of the teacher is then to discover the methods that appeal to the student, which are a source of motivation, of satisfaction, to transmit the desire to learn. Each student has their unique ways of translating reality, preferences, aspirations and skills that are fascinating to explore because this is what will make their individuality and the pride of their parents. Understanding the student is essential to find the most suitable approach to his mental processes and thus personalize his acquisition of knowledge because by giving more meaning, the student incorporates the heuristic fabric and the methodological insights of the sciences. Thanking you for the attention paid to my request, please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of my respectful greetings. Yours, Ophelia

Trusted teacher: Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice. In the context of a first course, you can get a well-founded idea of my pedagogy. I look forward to meeting you.

"You will love French, the French and France" Hello! My name is André. I am a French teacher [from Lyon] with over 35 years of experience [since 1990] in teaching children, teenagers and adults. I have worked for over 30 years, in London, UK between July 1994 and September 2024 in different cultural centers (BBC London too), universities, private schools, singing studios, etc... I am currently living in Osaka, Japan since September 2024 where I teach French and English (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level). In addition to that, I am studying in a language school, the Japanese language (Level A2: Elementary). I also have experience in teaching online, almost every day for 25 years now, and I really consider it the best new way to learn languages, so useful and effective for both teachers and students. During my lessons, I will help you progress in French using methods that are perfectly adapted to your learning style and your current language level. We will work on your weaknesses and strengths to find the best method for progression. We will cover many different topics to optimize your French language learning. You will learn how to use vocabulary and grammar in real-life situations such as daily conversations, live readings of French texts, sentence and text writing exercises, and discussions on topics of your choice. I would be happy to teach even if you want to start from scratch. From the beginning, I focus especially on learning the right pronunciation. I know it can be difficult sometimes but you can be really comfortable: French pronunciation is less difficult than you can imagine. I've been a real movie enthusiast (not just French) since my childhood and I would be happy to introduce you to some movies from my country and talk about the ones you've already watched that way too! Feel free to immerse yourself in learning French while sharing together your impressions of the rich culture of this fabulous country: FRANCE... 🇫🇷 See you soon... Andrew

Cécile
If you are looking for a French language teacher, I highly recommend Cecile 😊 One of the best things about her teaching approach is that she customizes the method to the student’s particular learning needs. She starts by assessing your level, goals, and learning preferences and then designs the lessons based on this. Something else that I appreciate about Cecile is that she uses a wide array of teaching materials, not leaving space for boredom or an incomplete understanding of a topic. She incorporates texts, videos, audio, fun quizzes, and exercises from different sources and genres, covering various aspects of the French language and culture. She also encourages to practice comprehensively - speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a balanced way. All in all, if you are after a comprehensive approach to learning and practicing French, this is the right tutor for you!

Kevin
Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.

Mathieu
Mathieu is an exceptional French teacher who truly understands his students' needs. He personalizes each class, tailoring the lessons to suit my goals and challenges. Although I studied French in secondary school and high school, I had forgotten much of it. Now, living in France and needing the language for professional purposes, I couldn't have found a better teacher. Mathieu quickly grasped my struggles and explains everything in a way that's clear and easy to follow. Thanks to his teaching, I already feel significant progress in both my confidence and skills. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their French, whether for personal or professional reasons!
