As a composer, I strive to awaken and develop the creativity of the students, to teach them to express their personality through improvisation, to approach new technologies, ... I started giving the first home course about 20 years ago. So I created my personal method which is flexible, adapted to each student, taking into account the tastes and character of the student. The duration of the course is 45 mins for children to 60 mins for adults and is open to all styles: from classical music to current music, world music, religious music, ... My pedagogy is articulated on 2 main axes: the technique and the practice. The technique: - Solfège or without solfège - Range, improvisation on ranges, ... - Desynchronization technique for the hands - Breathing technique - Distress technique ... If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. My goal is to challenge students to think independently and to prepare them thoroughly for the composition components of their music exams, all within a supportive and engaging online environment.

In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance.
