Mathematics and Statistics (A-level, GCSE, pre-GCSE)
Preparing for university? Just need to pass your GCSE? Or simply want to brush up on maths pre-GCSE?
My teaching method, if to be summarised in one word, is pragmatic. The modern syllabus contains a lot of "noise" and explanations that often over-complicate or provide a single style for explaining abstract concepts. I provide different views, catered to you, to help you understand that concepts and give you the tools to solve problems independently. You will not be spoon-fed, you will not be left to your own devices, you will receive an honest and effective framework to approach mathematical problems for key pre-university exams in Mathematics and Statistics.
Having taught kids as young as 10 all the way up to undergraduate students, I have experience with various age groups and topics and can shape my approach to best suit the student.

About Me
"Academically sound and personable""Pragmatic, honest, and very practical in teaching style and structure"
"Helped me overcome my fear of being wrong, which helped me be correct a lot more!"
These are some reviews that were left by my students in the past which I think best describe my approach and goal in teaching. Mathematics is a polarising subject that leaves many disliking the study and almost scared of engaging, that is something I seek to dispel.
Regardless of what examination board provides the exam, mathematics is all the same and having studied it at university, with great success, and still employing it in my day to day job allows me to provide a real-life example of application as well as rigorous academic backings for what I am teaching.

Maths tutor for all ages and abilities. Happy to help with exam preparationMaths is a highly useful skill in all areas of life as well as most fields of industry. Maths has been a passion of mine since my school days where I managed to achieve an A at A-level in one year. My focus was mechanics and calculus but my teaching skills extend to all levels of from A-level below. My focus on teaching is to try and bring maths alive with the more fascinating ways in which different areas of maths can conjoin and impact the real world. Why are beehives hexagonal shaped for example? Why do spider webs mimic certain road maps?
I've been a chess tutor as well as a maths tutor for some years and enjoy the process of teaching, having taught students as young as 5 all the way up to adults. Feel free to contact me whatever level you're at whether studying for an exam, or just curious to enhance your understanding!

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherI am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.
I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics.
I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Math support courses for high school students (Science Maths, Science Exp, Letters ...)As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!
We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.
The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:
1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.
2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.
3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.
4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.
5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.
I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.
In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.
