These lessons are specially designed for people who have no or very limited knowledge of Dutch. The lessons are very practically designed so that you memorize the vocabulary easily and quickly. These lessons are designed for all ages, the approach is always very individual. For children this is learning through play, for adults more conversational exercises. The lessons can be scheduled flexibly. For July, August and September I’m available the whole weak and every hour between 11 and 23 Brussels time.

We first look at where you are now and what you would like to achieve and I adjust my lesson based on that. Having lived in Ecuador, I know all too well how important it is to be truly immersed in a language. That's why I think practice is very important: talking about your interests! In these personal sessions I offer children and young people support with study skills, homework guidance and subject-specific tutoring. We work together to improve learning, planning and organizing and to improve results for specific subjects when necessary. We also pay attention to personal development: dealing with motivational problems, fear of failure and increasing self-confidence. The guidance is fully tailored to individual needs, so that every student can develop confidently and successfully – both at school and outside of school. I work from a warm and positive approach, in which growth, independence and enjoyment of learning are central.

In our class we will be relaxed, I will help you with the Dutch conversation, the grammar, reading (like an article or a topic what I will give you). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

A qualified language coach with 24 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach. In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. Based on the European system A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2 and C-1 As soon as students want to further improve their knowledge of Dutch, I always advise and coach them to take the State Exam I or II, the only formal Certificate in this country, recognized by employers and universities.
