Economics GCSE & A level tuition (Taught by a past A* student)

I have recently completed my first year at University studying Bsc Mathematics with Accounting and Finance, I am predicted a First. I am looking for students to tutor on a subject I am highly passionate about. I am a sociable character and I strongly believe in a dynamic and personalised approach.I have had previous tutoring for economics (year 13 onwards) and believe this experience has taught me clearly how to provide best to different students needs. I'll mainly be focusing on content, exam knowledge as well as exam skills (I completed Edexcel Economics A, however AQA is similar). I am open to new teaching methods and I will be able to work at flexible hours and have had past tutoring experience. My model essays and own resources will also be available for a more engaging teaching method. Get to know my top tips and advice I wish I knew before which got me from a low B to a A*.

My services include a in depth study plan and structured resources for re/learning content, as well as marking essays and giving feedback. I am also able to provide tuition for A-level English literature AQA board B and certain GCSE subjects. I offer in my lessons in person at the students' house, in person at my house and online via zoom/microsoft teams/skype.

About Me

I have recently finished my A-levels and I am now looking to tutor students specifically for GCSE and A-level economics. I was previously tutored for economics (from the start of yr13), and believe that I can transfer these skills and use my experience to deliver a personalised learning plan.I would describe myself as a driven and ambitious character that is well organised. My work ethic is shown in everyday life as I complete each task with my best efforts.

Education

Secondary school: GCSE Grades 6-8, including Mathematics, English literature, Economics, Geography, Spanish and Physics at grade 8
Sixth Form: A levels in Economics, English literature, Mathematics

Experience / Qualifications

I have recently tutored a student for six months teaching them different modules from the GCSE OCR economics board, and have many unique resources such as essays, content sheets and past paper practise available. I was in charge of organising the students daily tasks, ensuring they had thorough subject knowledge and perfecting their exam technique. I have also been tutored for A- level economics (year 13 onwards), and have learnt a lot from this experience and how to deliver the content in a more memorable way.

Reviews (1)

Deanna was prompt and well-prepared. She clearly knows the GCSE syllabus really well, and made a very positive start to tutoring my daughter.

IB Economics in English (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), private tuition, help with Internal Assessments
I am a professional professor of economics in Poland since 2005. I teach Economics HL and SL in the IB program in one of the best schools in Warsaw since 2013. I can explain your doubts and help you with the Internal Assessments. I don't speak Spanish, I only speak English. I graduated from Szkoła Główna Handlowa w Warszawie (Warsaw School of Economics) and have completed all the necessary trainings for the previous and current syllabus. All the classes are based on what you need to know for your final IB exam, but I explain it in an unconventional way so that you understand better. I adjust the methodology to each my student. I have a lot of experience teaching groups and individuals. All my students always get good grades on Internal Assessments and final exams.

How to spend money wisely: - difference between needs and wants. - how to compare prices and make informed purchasing decisions. - learn what is impulse buying and method to take the time to think before spending. How to managing money: - Keeping track of spending and creating a budget - Different types of bank accounts, type of money and currencies - learn what are credits, how they work and how it can impact their finances in the future. GCSE, O-level Mathematics and Economics Test Prep Tutoring
Mathematics is a powerful and versatile subject, applicable across numerous fields. For example, calculus and differentiation are crucial in engineering, while statistics plays a vital role in data science and finance. Economics is broadly divided into microeconomics and macroeconomics, both of which form the foundation of economic theory. Different models operate under various assumptions, leading to distinct outcomes. Understanding these models and their real-world applications makes economics an intriguing and valuable subject! I've designed this tutoring program to be interactive and adaptable to your preferred learning style—whether you learn best through a Q&A-based approach or hands-on practice during class. You are encouraged to ask questions anytime, and I will also be available after class for further clarifications, with responses guaranteed within 12 hours. Mathematics problems often have multiple solutions—let’s explore them together! Throughout this course, you will develop strong problem-solving skills in mathematics and economics by learning different approaches to tackling questions.
