Music theory and/or music history lessons for all ages!

Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

I give piano and music theory/ music writing (composition) classes in regions Brussels and Leuven. I have studied in Italy (piano) and at Brussels Conservatoire (music writing). I like sharing my artistic knowledge and experience with motivated students of all ages and varied backgrounds. In my teaching method I try to focus on the strong points and qualities of the student in order to build up technical skills which will help the student to overcome difficulties in a simple and natural way. It is crucial for me to make the student able to express their personality in an autonomous and creative way.

I studied trumpet at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and built up a lot of pedagogical skills through my Educational Master Music and Performing Arts at LUCA School of Arts and experience as a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, it is never too late to start (again)! The lessons can range from rather technical to musical, exploring different genres. As a teacher I am flexible, everything is tailored to the student. The goal is that you can develop yourself with pleasure on the instrument. I can also provide support with music theory. Zhaoyi, B.Mus, M.Mus, is a pianist, chamber musician. Having earned her Master of Music in Classical Piano Performance from LUCA School of Arts, Belgium, and Bachelor of Music in Musicology and Piano Pedagogy from the conservatory in China. Committed to music education, I am equipped with 6 years experiences in teaching piano for students at all ages, including being a music educator and piano teacher at Art Center, Piano Institute. I can teach in English and Chinese.

I propose violin lessons for all the ages and levels. I love music and violin in particular and what I hope is to transmit my passion to other people. What I would like is to make people learn through enthusiasm and positivity, with the belief that it is always the right time to learn something new. I have many years of experience as a teacher, thanks to the schools where I have been teaching during the last years and the teachers that I met as a student, who made me learn how to play and how to teach too. I am passionate about teaching guitar! I am a master's student at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. I give piano lessons at my home (Kessel-lo or in Herent) on a grand piano (also possible on location (+ extra fee)) The lessons last 1 hour (recommended), also possibility up to 30 minutes. Open for beginners to advanced pianists, young and old :) I prefer classical music, for me this is the basis for playing the piano. Private solfège/solfège lessons. All levels are welcome. Can be used as tutoring! Music theory lessons do not cover harmony theory in detail, but they do provide a general knowledge of music theory. The content of the lessons is flexible and depends on the wishes of the student!

A native of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Olivé began his piano studies under the guidance of Professor Marcilda Clis. Upon entering UNIRIO, he started taking lessons with the pianist and composer Claudio Dauelsberg. He holds a degree in piano from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in Germany, where he was a student of Professor Kaya Han. He spent 2 years in Portugal, where he taught at the Academia de Música de Almada. He also received guidance from Professor and pianist Manuel Araújo of the Academia Internacional de Música Aquilles Delle Vigne in Coimbra. Currently, he is pursuing a Master's degree in Piano Performance at LUCA School of Arts in Belgium, with the renowned pianist Sylvia Thereza as his teacher. He has been awarded in national and international competitions, such as the VII Sardoal Young Talent Award (2nd Prize - ex-aequo in the Piano Solo category; 2nd Prize and Best Portuguese Duo in the Piano Duo category), the Prof. Dichler-Competition 2022 in Vienna (2nd Prize - ex aequo in the Piano Duo category), the I National Piano Competition of the Villa-Lobos Music School (Honorable Mention) in Rio de Janeiro, and the XXVI Souza Lima Piano Competition (Honorable Mention) in São Paulo. His classes are intended for anyone who wants to start learning music theory and piano or those who already have basic or advanced knowledge. From Classical to Popular music, his teaching method adapts to the goals and individual desires of the student. During the classes, music theory is taught either concurrently or separately from practice, and the repertoire to be played is chosen collaboratively with the student. Felipe has years of experience as a concert pianist and teacher in academies and music schools. Reading, understanding, playing and writing music. I offer lessons for children and adults, no matter the level. In my lessons, in addition to learning technique and the instrumental repertoire (clarinet), you learn the language of music in all its facets (solfeggio, rhythmics, dictation, harmony, elements of composition). The method I use varies for each individual student and depends not only on his/her level, but on what interests him/her most and what serves his/her artistic growth. I am Ezio, I am Italian and I moved to Belgium to continue my studies. I have a degree in clarinet, I also studied conducting for wind orchestras, musical propaedeutics and also theatre and theatre therapy. I have worked with youth bands and taught in two music schools in Sicily. I am always interested in new methodologies and everything that can make learning not only functional, but also a real pleasure.
