Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved.
