Tutoring in History: GCSE, A Level and Further Education

History is the vector that allows us to better understand our society, the world in which we live. It is essential for general culture. The level of the course will adapt to the level of the student, from primary to university. It is also possible to adapt it in relation to an exam or competition to be taken, or to a person wishing to complete their general knowledge on a particular subject.

In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281). The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory. I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place. Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum"). I can also offer help for tests related to the history dissertation or text commentaries, very famous and predominant exercises in studies in the history faculty.

He won a Government of Uganda Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies at Gulu University, gaining a first-class degree in Bachelor of Arts Education (History and Economics). Isa is also a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he studied for an MPhil in African Studies as a Commonwealth Scholar. He has more than eight years of teaching experience, both at the secondary school and university level. In the past, he has taught classes on European, British, African, US, Asian, and Middle East histories. My history classes are suitable for the 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-old UK and IGCSE students (Cambridge International Curriculum) and AS and A-Level students (UK and Cambridge International). The learners will study history from political, economic, cultural, and social perspectives. They will develop an interest in understanding the past. Besides learning historical concepts such as cause, consequence, change, and continuity, learners will also gain a deeper understanding of global issues. I have a First Class degree in Modern History from the University of St Andrews. I am beginning my postgraduate degree in History at the University of Edinburgh in September. I remember the struggles of learning analytical techniques and historiographical skills when I was 15-18 years old at school. Additionally, my memories of wiring my undergraduate essays are still fresh! In my classes I aim to foster the student's historical skills; looking at essay questions, dissecting them and planning them together, and attempting o write sections of it will aid you in being able to do this independently and in exams!
