Hello, I'm an Italian high school teacher and a published writer. I have studied Literature and languages in Italy, UK and France and I have a long experience in tutoring students. I adapt my classes depending upon the specific needs of my students, depending on their knowledge and goals. I generally dedicate part of the class to teach grammar in an interactive way, following a book and proposing exercise I create myself to the students. Then I dedicate part of the class to the conversation, so that listening and speaking skills of the student can improve. If the student is at an intermediate or advanced level, I give them more insight about the evolution of Italian language, making reference to Latin and to Italian literature. To make the class more interesting, I often talk about Italian culture related to language.

My experience as a private Italian language tutor began after graduating from college. At that time, I realized that besides music, my true passion was teach Italian, the most musical language in the world, in my opinion. After moving to New York for a PhD, I dedicated some time to attending a course at the Italian Academy of Columbia University to become a certified teacher of Italian for foreigners. Afterwards, I had the opportunity to teach Italian to dozens of people of all ages and nationalities with outstanding results.
