Viola / Violin lessons technique, repertoire and audition preparation!

Hello everyone, my name is Bardia an experienced and enthusiastic violin teacher in Rotterdam. The key words for my teaching are fun and personal development. What matters the most to me is to have students feeling at ease with my teaching and feeling motivated after a lesson. This is why we will be playing lots of pieces together in duos, trying to develop complicity at your own pace, no rush ever. Last but not least, I also want to train and instruct students to reach a high mental level so as to express themselves free from constraints and stresses. Through a personalized method, tailored to your needs and wishes, we will cover together all sorts of repertoire, ranging from Baroque and Classical Music to more modern styles like Pop. Lessons can be given in English, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, French and Farsi. I teach at all levels from beginners to advanced with particular focus on amateur players. I graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory in 2017 and I finished my Master in Early Music in Utrecht Conservatory in April 2024.

With these violin lessons I would like to transmit to the student my knowledge with violin, as well as the passion for music. It is easy when learning an instrument to get frustrated because of the difficulties, but with a balance between good habits and focus on having fun with expressivity, it ensures that the student enjoys the process and improves in the results. Open to all levels and music styles, in my lessons students will experience an open playground or lab, where they find in the violin and music a great source of creativity. In addition, with my experience for many years and a bachelor of music in violin (Codarts), I will work to establish in the student proper habits for the violin to ensure the optimal conditions, but always with fun, no matter the expectatives with the instruments ( mild hobby, amateur, professional). Duration of lessons: 60 min is a regular lesson. 30 min lesson possible for children ( young children usually do not hold longer periods with focus in the beggining).

I have been teaching violin and music in general for the past 7 years working, with every kind of student, from children to adults, professional and amateur, beginner and not. I am a very patient teacher and I always try to find many different material and new stimuli to exercise and stay motivated. The goal is to give you the tools to express yourself through music, expand your skills and musical imagination, having fun in the process. I completed my musical studies in Italy, but I had the chance to spend some time studying and playing in Belgium and Austria too. Alongside teaching, I play in orchestras and ensembles and I also continued studying, getting a master degree in baroque violin.

As a viola player, I specialize in viola lessons from beginning to a more advanced level, but I also can teach violin to beginners or intermediate. The method I use is first to adapt to the student's wishes and then find a way to achieve this within a relaxed and healthy relationship with the instrument. This approach is based on technique and of course making music! In this lesson we could also work different styles, as I like to experiment and I find important to expand your knowledge and have a wider idea about expression while making music.

Violin lessons for beginners I can teach you the violin from scratch to professionalism, and this will include teaching musical notation, writing and reading. The teaching methodology is based on understanding the technical and musical learning process, progressive study with examples performed by the teacher, using academic and popular repertoire, scale and arpeggio systems, and exercises for developing muscle memory.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. Depending on your level in our lessons, we might start by practicing basic things like scales. Then, we move on to different books that match how good you are at playing. I'll teach you special techniques, like the Tune Day Method, to help you get better. But most importantly, I want you to enjoy what you're playing, so I'll let you choose the songs you enjoy.

I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools: Hart Muziekschool in Haarlem and Vioolstudio 020! in Amsterdam). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination.
