Trusted teacher: My name is Jeanne, 2nd year student at the London School of Economics (LES) in Geography and Economics. I am currently based in France due to the covid situation. Bilingual but originally French, I lived in the UK for three years in my childhood, before joining an international school when back in France. I then pursued my studies in the UK. I obtained the highest honors in my French baccalaureate with international option (OIB, mention TB). I, therefore, speak English and French fluently and have always enjoyed taking and teaching the languages. I have throughout the years used my fluency in both languages to teach children. I have joined the 'tutoring London' team this year, tutoring UK natives in advanced French. I particularly helped a family whose children wished to join the French primary school in London. They had the French basics but needed to be more fluent, I, therefore, helped them reach the respective levels of French required to join classes in each age group (CE2, CE1 and GS). When I was in France, I tutored children in English, teaching them the basics of the language. Despite not having an official teaching diploma, I passed my OIB Baccalaureate mention TB, and obtained the highest score at the TEOFL, which proves my fluency. I am therefore used to both help out with homework, and deliver prepared language classes. I enjoy teaching and seeing my students better themselves throughout classes. I start my classes depending on the requirements of the child, to try and meet the day's expectations. I do not hesitate to spend a lot of time on particular topics if the child is finding it difficult. Always listening to the child, I acknowledge there are days where desire and attention might be lesser than usual. I often use PowerPoint to have coherent class support. Aligning a theoretical class followed by exercises, I try to be demanding but fun, so as not to lose the student. I often review the notions studied previously at the beginning of the next class, so as to see if the student has remembered what he has been taught. I have also given a lot of babysitting, and I think my young age, my energy and my experience with children make it easier for me to understand them and teach in a fun but rigorous manner.
English · Tutoring
I am a bilingual Franco-British student, having studied at the Lycée International St Germain en Laye. I am in my first year of Bachelor's degree at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, and I am in parallel a theatrical development training at the school EVA. I have been teaching English for three years any age with a preference for children. Having initially provided only tutoring to middle and high school students, I have, through my theatrical studies, developed an interest in communication and for a more active transmission of the language. This prompted me to give English conversation classes, and to be more interested in teaching the youngest ones. Being fond of games and entertainment myself, I have a natural ability to invent entertaining ways to transmit my mother tongue. For example, I take a lot of pleasure in running several small workshops in my classes. For example, I often use the writing and staging of small scenes of everyday life, which allows not only a more grounded approach in the concrete to vocabulary and syntax, but also makes pronunciation and intonation work. Moreover, being also a musician and passionate about the study of different dialects and accents British or American, I also like to set up small games that aim to train the ear to the different sounds of English. This aspect of English is often neglected in school or college classes, which is most often at the expense of the student who may have trouble finding his bearings when he is bathed in a school. anglophone environment different from that to which he was accustomed. For the little ones, I also use a lot of flash cards and fairy tales which allows a first contact with the language using stories and familiar pictures.

Trusted teacher: I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years. The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies. I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics. I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacher (Limoges)
Benoit
Benoit is friendly and patient and has a good sense of when to challenge and when to take a step back. My son, who is 8, really likes his lessons very much. He loves math, especially working with big numbers, and at school it isn't always possible to work on calculations as he would like. After few lessons he already learned new techniques for calculations he likes to experiment with and Benoit also managed to challenge him to try some new and more advanced things. I think this type of lessons is more tricky to prepare, at least until the teacher gets to know well the capacities and character of the child, as there are not based on the child's curriculum or homework to be done. Benoit is always open to discussion and if my son finds something too challenging, they take a step back and try another way or just agree to try another time when my son feels ready for it.

LEARN OR IMPROVE YOUR SPANISH WITH A NATIVE SPANISH TEACHER (Palma de Mallorca)
Carlos
Carlos is an amazing teacher! I have learned more studying with him in a few months then I have learned in a year with other teachers. He is patient, knowledgeable and organized. We have good conversations and he really knows how to activate the language and give confidence to his students. For more basic students like myself it's very useful that he can speak other languages so well, although we use mostly Spanish in our lessons. He is simply the best! I highly recommend Carlos as a teacher!

Master French with interactive online courses: Courses for all levels! (Abidjan)
Rayen
Rayen made an effort to contact me prior to the lesson to determine my level and inquire what I wished to focus on. She also called at the agreed upon time. These may seem like minor details, but not all teachers do these. She had appropriate level material ready to share and go over for the lesson. She made corrections as needed and readings were repeated as necessary. My only suggestion would be that she speak a bit more slowly. but this is a matter of individual taste.
