I have been dedicated to translating classical languages for over 25 years and offering private lessons for over 20 years. I have extensive experience in classical languages and literature. In fact, I attended the "liceo classico" in Italy, a country whose centuries-old philological tradition requires students on this course to acquire a solid competence in translation from Latin and Greek, as well as a broad knowledge of classical literature, by devoting nine hours a week to the study of classical languages, for the entire duration of the five-year course. I began teaching classical languages during my university years, while also studying other humanistic disciplines, such as philosophy and literature. My translation method, tested over twenty years of experience which have confirmed its effectiveness, aims to enable students to acquire mastery of a rigorous translation technique based on the recognition of the quasi-scientific "accuracy" of classical languages and which, once acquired, limits the possibility of making translation errors to almost zero. This technique is based on respect for the syntactic structure of Greek and Latin sentences and on a careful examination of the arrangement of the linguistic elements which constitute them.
