In addition to my soon to be completed PhD, I have a First Class Honors M.A. in Creative Writing from UCC and a First Class Honors B.A. in English and Psychology. Throughout the last four years, I have taught English literature to undergraduates students, with a focus on novels, short stories, drama and poetry. It’s 45 years since I either studied or spoke Spanish and I am delighted to have met such a personable tutor who I feel will really help me regain the confidence to use the language again. Javier was keen to know what I wanted to get out of the lessons so that he could meet those requirements. He has suggested a structure tailor made to my needs. This is exactly why I didn’t enrol in an evening class as I feel working with an individual tutor will help me improve much more quickly.
