Hello! I'm Pablo, a jazz and modern music student at the Taller de Musics with 8 years of experience playing guitar and I master styles such as rock, pop, indie metal and blues. My classes will be completely personalized and adapted to the student so that they can achieve their goals. Since I was self-taught in my early years, I know how frustrating it can be to learn to play the instrument and I can share my experience helping students overcome obstacles with the help and guidance that I would have liked to have had when learning to play the guitar.

These are the three fundamental pillars that any person dedicated to composition needs. Basic knowledge: Many are afraid of learning "too much" theory, because they believe that it can kill creativity. But what I precisely want to teach in my classes is a practical approach, where theoretical knowledge serves to further develop creativity. Composition techniques: Each class I give small composition tasks, things that can be developed in the time you have available between classes, where we will explore different composition techniques and how they can be applied within the musical language that you want to develop. Creativity: We work here in two ways, the first is on a project you are working on, for example a piece for your own instrument, a project for a competition or entrance exam, a song, etc. The second way is through improvisation exercises on your instrument. We will do this together, since I play violin and piano. With this we are seeing how to give space to musical intuition, to be able to capture ideas and then concretize them in a composition. These three elements are present in each class, which is usually divided into 20-minute sections, so a lesson usually lasts 1 hour.

Music has always brought me amazing opportunities to connect to inspiring people throughout my life. I personally love many different types of music from around the world but my favourite styles to play are Jazz/Soul and Latin music. I have been singing since I can remember and understood the importance of playing instruments from a very young age. I feel fortunate to have been able to work on my musical skills through leading and playing in many different bands, performing in bars and different events and recording with some pretty cool people. Personally, I think it helps to learn and practice songs that you like because it motivates and speeds up the learning process. I am happy to suggest some songs that would suit your style as we go. I'm very flexible when it comes to the lesson. I like to personalize them to your goals and needs, from which I create specific exercises for listening, rhythm, technique and music theory (which can seem unapproachable at first) I have seen my students grow through ups and downs through putting in time. Hi, I'm August, a musician and music producer working in a studio in Bcn. I've studied guitar, music and production extensively for 15 years and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance, specialising in the guitar. I'm available to teach Music and Guitar - electric or acoustic -as well as to offer production lessons in my studio, where I can help intermediate and advanced students build skills, and introduce beginners to music software, synthesisers and drum machines. I worked for two years as a music tutor at an after-school music centre, teaching guitar to primary school children - individually and in groups of up to five. I also teach music technology and production - using popular software including Ableton, Logic and Cubase - and have taught one-on-one with beginner, intermediate and advanced students. The piano is an orchestra in one instrument! Learning to play this instrument provides the basis for composition, learning harmony and developing musical skill. Age does not matter - I teach beginners to advanced players. My approach is artistic and creative, meaning there is a focus on the strengthening of individual expression and abilities while learning the basics of music, how to play and perform , as well as how to compose.
