The cello is a beautiful instrument from the family of string instruments with a warm, deep sound. The instrument offers the opportunity to play in a wide variety of formations, from solo to in a large orchestra. I have completed an artistic degree and am currently doing a master's degree in education at the Bern University of the Arts. I have already taught for two and a half years in Hanover, where I lived before, and would like to pass on my passion to children. I make my lessons as varied and stimulating as possible - the focus is on fun and games. I also like to improvise with my students on the instrument and am open to all kinds of ideas, including when it comes to the repertoire. But I also have a plan for how I will learn exercises, songs and pieces with the students, depending on their level of difficulty.

Solfege is taught for the first 15 minutes of class until a basic level of solfege knowledge is acquired. Hi there, I am an opera singer and piano teacher with 20 years of piano experience. I have also worked as a piano and singing teacher at a music school and have extensive experience from numerous opera and music projects. If you want to learn to play the piano, I'll be happy to help you. In my many years as a piano teacher, I've taught students aged 5 to 40. I place great value on solid technique, finger exercises and the development of musical expression. We work on repertoire from classical music as well as film music. For children, I have prepared many simplified notes from these areas and design the lessons with varied and playful exercises. I also encourage learning to read music, ear training and improvisation. The lessons can take place online or, preferably, in person. I also offer singing lessons in the genres of classical and pop. You will learn to breathe with your diaphragm and to use this breathing technique specifically when singing, which is very important for our work. The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music. In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument. We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues.
