I am a fully qualified & insured RAD ballet teacher with over 20 years experience in the field. I offer one to one ballet classes specifically curated to suit your individual needs. If ballet isn’t your thing I also have created a very successful barre fitness workout that targets cardio vascular fitness in a low impact and controlled way. For those looking for a more specific workout I am a qualified Les Mills Shspes teacher. Shapes is a low impact hybrid exercise class that incorporates elements of barre, pilates and power yoga.

We are a couple of tango dancers with more than 15 years of experience in teaching in Europe, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Montevideo in Uruguay. Our teaching combines elements of traditions and culture from the Rio de la Plata area together with biomechanics and analysis of movement. Our private classes are for couples and/or individuals, and the lessons will be tailored according to your needs and interests. Our pedagogy is encouraging, fun, and efficient. I am passionate about working with students on developing both their artistry and technique. In this class students can enhance their existing training through personalised lessons, with a special focus on musicality, dynamics and performance in partnership with technique. I draw on my knowledge as a professional dancer to train dancers whether their goal is to work towards a career in the industry, or invest more in their passion for dance. Lessons take the form of a traditional ballet class, starting at the barre and moving to the centre (adapting to space), and include discussions to help dancers to refine their thought processes and approach. I am still a freelance performing dancer and therefore my availability is changeable.

Having experienced first-hand the power of dance to shape people’s perspectives, I am enthusiastic about using my professional experiences, skills, and beliefs to educate new young dancers in the techniques, movements, and experiences of dance. I am also just as enthusiastic to share that beauty and power with the community, with recreational adult classes as well. About how I teach, and why I started; I was looking for dance that was fun, liberating, and yet artistically challenging, all at the same time; I craved something that brought and demanded a more humane experience inside of the studio. My interest at the moment is to use our human experiences and bodies as they are. I’m not so interested in trying to force them into something else, but to allow that freedom to take us to whatever imaginary or fantastical place where dance should be able to take us. I believe my obligation as a dance teacher is to encourage students to have fun when dancing. It’s something that’s forgotten a lot as a budding artist, but one of the most important things for perseverance in this field. I believe that if the curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment is there, the technique will come as well because there’s a mutual belief, from both the teacher and student, in oneself. Of course to learn a variety of dance styles, be technically proficient, and pursue a personal creative expression is important, but having an experience with a group of people and letting go into imagination while allowing yourself to have fun will push a dancer even further in their artistry, I believe. To be able to be given images, sensations, feelings, etc. and have the awareness to translate them into some form of movement is an important skill as an artist and human being

Formerly a student at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris as well as at the Junior Ballet in Geneva, I have been a classical, contemporary and modern jazz dance teacher since 2019 in Switzerland and neighboring France. I taught at the "Danse Evasion" school (Cugy, VD) for amateurs (from the age of 4 to adults) the following techniques: classical, contemporary, jazz, parent-child dance, yoga and Pilates. Subsequently I taught dance for pre-pro training at the "Ecole de danse de la Côte" (Morges, VD) the following techniques: classical and contemporary. In April 2022 I obtained the Technical Aptitude Examination in classical dance and since September 2022 I have been a student in a pedagogical Bachelor's degree with the aim of obtaining the state diploma of classical dance teacher. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance and creation of multidisciplinary performances from the Iceland University of the Arts, a Master 2 in Art Research & International Creation from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, I am an artist member of the International Dance Council at UNESCO. Since 2020, I have been engaged in academic research on medical and spiritual dance whose practice is called Transcendental Dance (Transcendental Embodiment). I intend to present this research in a doctoral contract. My professional experience extends internationally where I had the opportunity to work alongside various renowned companies and to organize internships in France, Iceland, Sweden, Mexico, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Asia. Also, I had the opportunity to dance for haute couture houses during Fashion Week in Paris. I teach contemporary dance, technical floorwork (floor work), contact dance and classical dance. My classes focus on mindfulness, musicality, harmonization of energy flows, improvisation, muscle strengthening and coaching in choreographic composition for competitions, exams, galas, and weddings.
