    “Meditation doesn’t work!” Has this thought ever crossed your mind? Maybe you’ve tried meditation or even done some mindfulness exercises. Sure, they might have helped you relax, maybe encouraged you to take a deep breath or two (or more) and maybe you felt a bit better. But then you got sick and scared, or had a fight with your partner, or yelled at a stranger. And you thought, “Well, eff that. I’ve been meditating for days/months/years and I’m still a jerk. Meditation doesn't work.” And you are right. Meditation doesn’t work if what we are trying to do is bypass the difficulties and discomfort of being a human being.
