Hi! I’m an Iranian artist and teacher offering classes in oil painting, decorative painting, and papier-mâché sculpture. My lessons are suitable for everyone aged 7 and older—whether you’re a beginner or already have some experience. The classes are available in English or Persian (Farsi), and can be held online or in person at my location(Antwerp)—whichever works best for you. You must provide the materials yourself but I can teach you what you need to know remotely, and we can work through projects together. If there is something specific you'd like to make but you don't know how - this is the place!

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Have you ever heard of macrame? Macrame is a knotting technique that can be used to create many great projects from cotton yarn. In this course I'll show you online how to get started and how to use the basic knots very quickly. You can make so many projects using these knots: wall hangings, keychains, wall mirrors, hanging baskets... Just a nice hobby now that you have to spend a lot of time indoors. I am Rachel, an Architect / Artist and a qualified TEFL teacher. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, moved to the UK 15 years ago so I am fluent in English, Mandarine and Cantonese. We can have classes online, or, I can babysit at the same time, at mine with my puppy and my husband, or outside in a cafe. I have worked with children at my church in the UK and I can give fun, exciting, innovative, art classes in French (B2 Level). If you are an adult and want more serious lessons, I can provide that. As a RIBA certified Architect, I have knowledge and experience in architecture and Art, and I am more than happy to share my learnings with you.
