In 2018, he pursued his Masters in Historical Clarinet at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, studying with Eric Hoeprich. Elia successfully graduated in 2020, showcasing his talent through performances of Schubert’s renowned “Great” and “Unfinished” symphonies with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth-Century under the baton of Sir Roger Norrington. In 2020, Elia was selected to join the Accademy of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in London, led by Margaret Faultless. His musical journey also led him to become the principal clarinetist and deputy of the Hamroniemusik of Das Neue Mannheimer Orchester in 2019.Notably, Elia made a mark in the recording industry, contributing to the premiere recording of the aria “Queste selve già d’amore” from J.C. Bach's opera Amor Vincitore, released by Etcetera Records in the album Army of General vol.1 in 2020. His talent continued to shine, leading to his official membership in the esteemed Orchestra of the Eighteenth-Century in 2022. In 2023, Elia furthered his academic pursuits, completing his master's degree in "Musicologie: Recherche et Pratiques d'Ensemble" at the University of Poitiers/Tours in collaboration with the orchestra of the Abbaye aux Dames in Saintes, France. Under the guidance of Francesco Spendolini and Nicola Boud, he delved into classical and romantic repertoire, interpreting works by Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Arriaga, Offenbach, Verdi, Rossini, and Brahms among others. Carla Peña
Let's play together! - Cello lessons for all levels and agesMy name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students.
I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place!
If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me!
FIRST LESSON:
The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste.
TECHNIQUE:
Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge.
In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly!
Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun!

Piano and Music Theory Lessons for children and adults (beginners, advanced)Learning how to play an instrument can fall into many classroom stereotypes; Not if you strive to discover sounds and styles, if you're open to learning not only an instrument but all that is related to music and sound making!
I've taught at different institutes and private lessons for +5 years; then slowly began to put together my own method of teaching not only piano, but related subjects to help students gain a broader knowledge and be able to take next steps in their music journey even when they're finished with their music lessons. With all the experience I gathered in working with children and adults, I've composed a method of teaching subjects related to piano performance(music theory, music history, improvisation and creative music composing) alongside lessons on the instrument and piano techniques, as the student proceeds and is in need of more broad knowledge.
It doesn't matter wether the student is a pupil or an adult, if they have experience in music or not, there's always a lot to discover together in my lessons; based on the students needs and interests.
I usually start with basics of the instrument and give students a general lesson on how the instrument works. As we proceed in our lessons, we will cover techniques and more specific skills based on the interest of the student. Our lessons are very flexible regarding class material and my aim is to keep the lessons always fun and informative as well as following the bigger aim of helping the student to be confidant in their music performing and music creation.
The format of our lessons will not stay the same as we work on different pieces, different skills and subjects. There are certain repertoire we will cover but also some of the pieces the student likes to be able to play and understand.
We will also work on performing skills, I often organise mini concerts for students that like to overcome their fear of performing on stage or for others, giving them the opportunity to perform their own pieces or from classic piano repertoire.

Piano lessons for all levels and ages. Relaxed teaching approach!I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).
I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.
My main goal is helping you achieving your goals and preparing the best lesson for you!
I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.
I earned a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians, I believe learning never stops.
I have much to share with my students.
TEACHING STYLE
I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.
I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.
I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.
My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).
I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made fantastic progress, I would love to see you achieve the same results.
I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.
I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.
I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.
CURRICULUM
I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.
For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.
Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.
I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
Piano/Keyboard - Alfred , Hal Leonard, Abrsm Grade (1-8), Trinity Grade (1-8), Hanon etc.
