Home tutoring. I hold a master's degree in teaching from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. I adapt to all levels, all ages (I have had students from 7 to 79 years old!), for pleasure or for more professional purposes. I have many years of experience in private lessons, I have met very diverse profiles and everyone can learn to play an instrument if they have the motivation! It is from these notions that the quality of sound, digital and respiratory technique, intonation, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire. SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

Geni is a saxophonist and flautist specialising in; jazz, funk, reggae, pop, and soul. As a musician she has played in every conceivable genre from Black Star (formally Carcass) to Michael Franti and Spearhead, Jackie Lomax to Michael League and Co. As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Learn to play; to decipher the scores and improvise by ear or by reading and analyzing chord charts. This course will adapt to your level of play: simple harmonies for beginners and more complex depending on the degree of mastery of the instrument. This course also includes a thorough introduction to harmony.

I enjoy teaching both harp and flute at my studio in Worthing and also offer lessons online. I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification.
