Biology lessons for middle school, high school and college students!Biology is a powerful science that becomes more and more influential as time passes. Biology allows for us not only to understand the world around us better but also helps us understand what goes on within our own bodies. Having studied Biology at the University of Edinburgh, I am incredibly passionate about the subject. Currently I am pursuing my research Masters degree in Biochemistry, working closely with protein design. I believe research is incredibly thrilling and learning about new research techniques and ideas feels like having a cookbook you can cook something fun and novel out of everyday! I would love to share my passion for Biology with you!

Tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics (exact subjects).I am Christian, graduated in chemistry at Utrecht University (Biomolecular Sciences) and have a PhD in developmental biology. For several years now I have been tutoring and exam training in mathematics, chemistry and physics to HAVO and VWO students, but also to HBO students and Cambridge International A-levels. Maybe I can help you too!
The lessons are given online, but I provide a personal and interactive approach. With a marker and whiteboard I create an atmosphere that is comparable to private lessons at your home.
Every student has unique goals and a unique way of learning. That is why I tailor my lessons to your needs. I am always involved in your progress and am optimistic and approachable by nature. During the lessons I often notice that students not only understand the material better, but also their self-confidence grows.
Besides being a tutor, I am a part-time artist (painter and musician). My creative background gives me a fresh and enthusiastic perspective on science subjects. If science subjects feel hard, difficult or boring, or if you had a teacher who couldn't make it fun, I can help you change that. The more you understand, the more fun it becomes, and good grades will follow!
I'd love to meet you!

GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Maths Masterclass - Ace your GCSEs!While I am passionate about my subjects, I understand that not everyone is ecstatic about studying. There's no point teaching simultaneous equations to a struggling student if it isn't on the GCSE Maths Foundation syllabus!
Depending on grade that the student is aiming for/predicted I will:
●spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, make it explicit what content is the core of the course content and structure lessons in descending importance
● (for higher level students) spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, identify the weakest links and structure lessons in ascending order of skill
I believe in spaced repetition so revisiting topics taught before is a must!
This will manifest in the form of:
●surprise questions during the first 10 minutes of lessons
●helping prepare and working through past papers when it comes closer to exam time to encourage active recall.
During normal lessons, there will be a mix of:
●theoretical teaching
●helping the student digest, understand and store useful information that has been presented
●visual aspects (diagrams)
In order for students to efficiently absorb knowledge, I will teach one core topic per lesson.
Top Tip if you want to get the most from me: Ask questions! I aim to have a friendly environment in lessons, I am not your teacher - I am your helper!
