History is the vector that allows us to better understand our society, the world in which we live. It is essential for general culture. The level of the course will adapt to the level of the student, from primary to university. It is also possible to adapt it in relation to an exam or competition to be taken, or to a person wishing to complete their general knowledge on a particular subject.

In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281). The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory. I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place. Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum"). I can also offer help for tests related to the history dissertation or text commentaries, very famous and predominant exercises in studies in the history faculty.

The course focuses on the great historical narratives of the West and the Latin American region, from prehistory to contemporary times. The topics are presented in a synthesized and digestible way, focusing on the most relevant events of each period to build a general vision of the history of human beings. The option of studying a specific period or historical event in depth is also offered at the student's request. The methodology used in the course is predominantly active (Learning based on problems, challenges, by discovery, etc.) And sometimes some of the avant-garde.

I completed the IB DP with a consistent 7/ high 6 in Higher Level History, and this has always been one of my favorite subjects. I am very good at this subject and have somewhat of a passion for it. I have a very good grasp of what is expected from the IB students as pertains to this subject, and I know the ins and outs of the criteria and the weird and wonderful little ways in which the IB expects the students to perform. I am able to help with any course work, homework, assignments, or assessments. As pertains to the DP students, I also did my EE on a History topic so I can assist there if need be. I have a First Class degree in Modern History from the University of St Andrews. I am beginning my postgraduate degree in History at the University of Edinburgh in September. I remember the struggles of learning analytical techniques and historiographical skills when I was 15-18 years old at school. Additionally, my memories of wiring my undergraduate essays are still fresh! In my classes I aim to foster the student's historical skills; looking at essay questions, dissecting them and planning them together, and attempting o write sections of it will aid you in being able to do this independently and in exams!
