Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. Hello! I am Celia, a professional saxophonist and singer. I am offering individual (online or face-to-face) lessons in Saxophone, Singing, Improvisation, or Music Theory. I have seven years of experience as a teacher. In my lessons, I adapt completely to the needs of the student, regardless of their age or level. Depending on what you want to improve or what you are willing to learn, I will design the sessions specifically for you. Any style you'd like to explore or improve will be welcome (both in singing and saxophone). I have a Bachelor's degree in Classical Saxophone and a Master's of Music degree in New Audiences and Innovative Practice (with both vocals and saxophone). The focus of this class is to learn how to play the piano but most important how to make music. Music is a language that expresses our feelings & ideas and connects us with other people but also with ourselves. Together we will can work on the basic principles and tools to play the piano, setting a healthy technique but also cultivate your personal sense of music. Further on, we can explore new repertoire and unknown composers, refine your playing and learn how to deal with difficulties, discuss about interpretation issues and even work on your performance on stage. With music theory, we can dive into the alphabet and syntactic of music: the world harmony, rhythm, solfege and analysis.

My lessons are completely personalized. Based on your level, your goals and the time you can spend on the clarinet, we will decide together what is the best option for you. In these lessons you’ll learn about composition techniques, harmony, melody, rhythm, form, composing through improvisation, and much more. Everything you need to translate your ideas into your own preferred genre of music. Depending on your background and musical preferences, we will adjust the content of the lessons so that it fits you best. The lessons can be done in English, Dutch, Spanish or Catalan.

My name is Helena Sousa and I am a professional musician. I have done my Bachelor and Master of Music in Spain and France, respectively, and now I work as a freelance musician in The Netherlands since December 2017. As a hard-working and active person, I am encouraged to show how music works and how it is essential in life, doing different activities with the student such as listening to music, doing body percussion with different rhythms, singing or playing the instrument. All of these are important activities to develop the skills of the student such as coordination, attention or discipline, along with the most important thing: enjoying music as a fundamental part of life. I'm a classical clarinetist, I have two masters (recently graduated at Codarts) and different experience in orchestra, chamber music and teaching! My goal as a teacher is to stimulate the student to study in order to be at the disposal of music and not a passive player as can happen many times when you undertake a new study. That is why I like to play with my students and organize little private concerts and try-out. Concerning the music theory lessons, I am not going to bore you with long and incomprehensible explanations! We will study it in a fun and effective way!
