Hello and thank you for visiting this website! I'm an established, qualified, and experienced violin teacher who has worked in London for the last 26 years. I'm now back in Belgium for some new musical adventures, as well as to meet new students. I welcome students from the age of four to adults. I have a real passion for transmitting my love of music, and I like to have a creative, playful and holistic approach to teaching. I also play the piano and often use it for aural training or to accompany my students (or do violin duets). I do believe that music is not just for competitions or exams but a skill for life that can bring tremendous joy, discoveries, friends and fun along the way. Learning an instrument is also a great way to foster different qualities such as patience, diligence, presence, resilience, deep listening and the ability to express and share our emotions with others. Having explored many different violin methods and styles, I take a different approach according to each student. I like to teach a solid classical technique with some scales, studies and pieces, but there are many different ways to make music enjoyable or find other paths depending on the student's goal. Although I was trained classically in Belgian Conservatoires and the Guildhall School of Music, I do like to teach a variety of music that is not just classical (Celtic, world, klezmer, jazz, tango, film music, pop...). I often encourage my students to compose or improvise freely. In the last two decades, I have led many youth orchestras and violin workshops and worked for many different primary and secondary schools in England. Dear students, My name is Giacomo and I hold two Master of Arts in Music Performance, one in Rome and one from the "Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste" in Zurich. During my class lessons you'll learn the wonderful art of playing the violin, an incredible instrument! I have many years of experience with teaching, I do private lessons and I have worked as a teacher for "Tiziano Rossetti International Music Academy in Lugano" for several years. As a teacher my goal is to bring out the best version of my students, using their individual strenghts, which are different for each of them. It's a pleasure for me to teach to anybody who wants even just to discover the art of playing the violin. As a pedagogue, after one month experience in a meditation retreat in Thailand, my approach involves not only focusing on the technical development of the instrument but also paying close attention to the physical and mental well-being of my students. I incorporate meditation and yoga as key elements to ensure a pleasant and optimal experience with the instrument and with oneself.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination.
