About Me
Hey!! My name is Giannis and I'm a 19 years old jazz drummer from the beautiful island of Crete, Greece. I started playing drums at the age of 10 and soon I fell in love with the instrument and music in general. As a teenager, I had the amazing opportunity to travel from Crete to Athens once a month (a 9-hour ferry ride) to receive private lessons from some of the best teachers in Greece. After a year of dedicated lessons, I emerged in the Cretan jazz scene as a young and promising drummer. When I graduated high school (with an overall grade of 19/20, 6 excellence awards and 3 distinction awards) I moved to the Hague in order to study jazz drums in the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, with teachers such as Eric Ineke, Felix Schlarman and Stefan Kruger.
As a teacher I try to follow the path desired by the student, while following the methods my own teachers passed down to me, which include active music listening, sufficient exercises and mentorship.

Drum lessons for all styles and levels from a KonCon graduate!Hi! I'm Marcello and I come from Italy. I've been playing the drums for more than half of my life and a few years ago I moved to the Netherlands to pursue a music education and to establish myself in The Hague as a professional musician and teacher. I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire and minored in classical percussion in the summer of 2022 and I am currently studying drums and composition in the Master programme.
I usually focus on the technical aspects of music, but the lesson plan will vary according to the student's needs. We can get as serious about playing as you wish! So I advise you to have an idea of what you want to play but, if that's not the case, I'll be happy to share my passion and my favourite artists with you!

Japanese Taiko Drumming (Online and Real Life Lessons)Taiko Drumming is both a traditional instrument and an innovative medium for making contemporary music.
I am Eva, a professional Taiko Drummer, and I have playing the Taiko drums for 30 years.
Lessons will be taught online on weekdays and on-site in central Tokyo on weekends, in groups. Private lessons can be arranged upon request.
Here is my profile:
Born in Tokyo, Japan, Eva was raised by a family of scholars and artists with mixed German and Japanese heritage. From a young age, she learned how to play piano after her father introduced her to classical music, while she simultaneously learned Taiko after her mother introduced her to the Japanese arts. After graduating from the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan, she attended Cornell University in New York, USA, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy. While attending Cornell, she joined the Cornell University Percussion Ensemble. The following year, she co-founded the Taiko drumming student organization called Cornell Taiko (YAMATAI) and she was the lead drummer and Musical Director. After graduating from Cornell at the young age of 22, she returned to Japan and started performing professionally. She started her solo career a year later.
Eva is also trained in Japanese folk dance (with a focus on male styles) and has a passion for street dance and locking. She joined an Awa dance team affiliated with the prestigious Koenji Awa Dance Association and made her way to become one of the top female dancers in Japan.
Today, she brings Japanese taiko drumming and song to a brand new context of pop music and also performs with many distinguished artists, musicians, dancers, and Taiko drummers across multiple genres. Eva does not only perform using taiko, she also uses a number of other instruments that have a distinct flavor of the Japanese environment including Koto (Japanese Harp), Voice, and Piano. Eva also works in the field of education and teaches taiko drumming workshops to both children and adults and is also involved in humanitarian efforts such as raising awareness for the disabled.
Her music, dynamic performances, and selfless spirit continue to inspire not only her many fans but all who witness her performances all over the world.
In 2023, her original music was published by Harper Collins Publisher and she was also the cover image of their music textbook. In 2024, her original music was utilized by Cambridge International Curriculum, used in over 160 countries and 10,000 schools, which sets a global standard for education, and is recognized by universities and employers worldwide.

Drum lessons, (technique and songs), beginners to advancedLesson is given on location or at home (if you have a drum kit), and your first lesson is always free, because you have to be able to determine if you like drumming and you want me as a teacher.
.
Drum lessons (giving) is always fun and educational. You learn in addition to technique (the correct (sitting) posture, stick control and the 'rudiments' basic patterns such as the familiar 'roffel' (double-stroke-roll) and the 'paradiddle' - also the importance of counting, dynamics, reading notes and timing After all, you will all need them if you want to continue (with a band or just for yourself).
- How long does it take before I become a drummer?
Two answers: a few hours, and a lifetime. You will see that you can play nice things in no time, but also that top drummers in the world, such as Phil Collins, Cesar Zuiderwijk, Dave Lombardo or Simon Phillips, learn new things every day (and happy).
- Am I too old to start?
You're never too old,
- Do I have a sense of rhythm?
You can learn rhythm feeling. I have NOT been able to teach anyone. - Is there a best drummer in the world?
It is about fun, and there is no podium or medal, only thousands of colleagues who are doing very well.
- Is drumming only something for men?
I do not think so! Take a look at Sheila E. or Cindy Blackman;)

Drum lesson, all levels, all styles. Learn to play drums, or perfect your playing and knowledge.Learning an instrument, at any level, can be a fun and extremely rewarding endeavour. However, finding an adequate teacher is key to making this learning experience fruitful and enjoyable. After years of experience as a teacher, and a performing musician, I have perfected a teaching method that allows students to follow their own musical aspirations, while developing a strong foundation on the drums, therefore reaching their full potential. Together, we will focus on your musical interests, and get you the tools that you need to be proficient on the instrument. You will get a clear idea of what you can do to become a good drummer and further your knowledge as a musician, regardless of musical style or level.

Drum lessons in Brussels for all ages and levelsTrained at the conservatory, then at the Progressive Drum School, I then sought to improve myself by taking private lessons from references such as Loïc Pontieux, Franky Costanza, Kevin Reveyrend or Franck Aghulon.
I have taught drums and music theory to students of all ages, all levels and in different contexts: recreational practice, exam preparation, putting on shows.
I have also conducted musical workshops for organizations such as youth centers, elementary or nursery schools, and social centers, for projects ranging from musical awareness to the production of shows or music videos.
I therefore have very comprehensive teaching experience and know how to adapt to different audiences.
Now being a full-time professional musician, I also want to share my professional experience with students.
During my teaching career I have questioned myself a lot about the problem of the teaching method because there is no single model of student and giving a course is not just giving a list of exercises. So I try to understand the student and advise him on the best method and the best pace of practice.
Egon
Graduate of the CRR and student at the Royal Conservatory, gives lessons for beginners, amateurs and advanced students. One of the goals of the course? to pass on my passion and make music.
Together, whether you are beginners or experienced, we will explore:
-work on sound, posture
-the study of music (jazz, improvisation, funk, rock, world music etc.)
-work on your creativity.
-hand and foot coordination
-develop your own autonomy with the instrument
-rhythmic reading, technique (snare drum etc.) J
I always take care to adapt and shape my student's course for him/her. It is necessary in my opinion to always remain open to desires and requests, for progression and thus keep the most pleasure for learning
