Photoshop is used differently for painting and drawing than for photography retouching. I will show you how to use all the tools of the program, but I will also teach you how to think about game art, concept art and illustration, whether it is for character design, creature design, environment design or prop design. Without UI designing, it will be difficult to reach a larger geographic area as some of your interested clients may want to interact outside your territories. And how is it done? I can help you look at your current portfolio (or one you have just started), and provide structured advice on forming a portfolio that positively supports your application for an undergraduate graphic design course. I can offer guidance on: • What to include, and exclude, from your portfolio — we can review your current projects. • Representing the depth of creative investigation, and processes, behind your project work. • Including other forms of creative practice that may support your application. • Presenting your work through layout design and the use of writing/captioning.
