The scheduled sessions are one hour long but we are allowed to go a little over - I didn't swallow a clock! - and what's more, you can't help but notice that we get a lot done in an hour! This course is for "anyone" interested in learning the concepts, techniques, and skills required to write a film script. Regardless of writing for film, TV, or theatre, the fundamentals are very similar, however, this course will focus specifically on writing for the screen. The course will take you through an understanding of what makes a compelling story, fully developed characters, writing dialogue, the basic three act structure, organizing your story thoughts, theme, tone, pace, outlining, learning screenwriting format, and most importantly finding your voice as a writer.
