For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. As flash education is the new trend on the web, I try to identify myself as someone that does not take pride in giving "tips&tricks" classes rather to build toghether a path towards nolt only the understanding of the musical concepts, but towards their discovery. Through the use of Ableton Live I will cover music theory and it's appplication to the digital and analog world, exploring electronic and acoustic music, providing by time to time free tools and subsequent explanaition on how to use them, to build not only an in depth knowledge, but an efficient workflow. Having thaught in universities, it is clear to me that the path to learn cannot be a series of discontinued classes. For that reason I spur you to send me a message and organise up to 60 minutes of consultation, so to craft the ideal path to you. Whether is understanding of music theory ( Which I will refer to during classes as black magic ), or understanding all the steps and knowledge that are needed to start and finish a track. The class will be an hour long, divided into two halves: the first half is practical and is specialized in exercises to strengthen the student’s abilities to play the oud, while the second half will be specialized in learning the science of Arabic music theory from Arabic (maqams)/scales and Arabic rhythms.
