Hello, I am currently working as a double bassist with the Brussels Philharmonic, in Belgium and I've been teaching double bass since 2009. I started playing double bass at the age of 12 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Music Conservatory in Aveiro. I continued my studies at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, where I obtained a Bachelor in Music and a Master degree in Music Teaching. In 2014 I started my Masters in Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg and I was also Akademistin at the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester. I have extensive experience as a Freelancer with various Orchestras such as NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Orquestra Sinfónica de Galicia, Hamburger Symphoniker, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Orquestra da Casa da Música do Porto, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Dresden Philharmonie, etc. I was double bass teacher in Portugal at Orfeão de Leiria and at the Conservatory of Music in Alhandra and in Hamburg at Gymnasium Lerchenfeld.
