Hello i’m Massimiliano, a professional musician and composer from Italy living in Rotterdam since six years. I play clarinet and saxophone and I graduated from Codarts Rotterdam three years ago! I love to share my passion for music with my students and currently i am teaching at home and also doing workshops for small kids around the city! I teach music at any level: Beginner : with me you can start playing the clarinet or the saxophone step by step even if you didn’t have any previous musical education Intermediate: if you already know how to play we can learn new music and progress in your knowledge of the instrument, learning jazz, pop or other music genres. Advanced: i can help you to achieve your goals as professional musician, to pass the audition for a conservatory or for a professional job position!

We will find your needs together and start working from that point. You can come with no experience at all and I will help you to explore and develop your voice. It's also not important if you cannot read music, I can help you with that as well. If you are already a singer, we will work in order to refine your technique. Voice, breathing, and posture are connected and fundamental for a healthy technique so we will also work on that while we focus on your voice. Singing can be very personal and confronting but do not fear, we work in a safe environment. Let yourself be surprised with what you can achieve!! The lesson can be in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian.

My name is Abraham, and I’m a third year jazz piano student at Codarts Rotterdam. I have been playing for 14 years, most of which were spent in classical music. I teach all levels and styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.). It can be with or without theory, depending on what you prefer. My name is David, I'm a trumpet player, composer, and conductor based in Rotterdam. I started to study music when I was 8 years old and I get the Professional Music degree in the specialty of classical trumpet at the Conservatory of Noia (Galicia, Spain) and I've been playing Jazz since I was a teenager. In my country, I have been a student with teachers such as Paco Charlín or Abe Rábade, whom I have considered my mentors for years, but I have also studied and attended numerous masterclasses and workshops with internationally renowned teachers such as Michael Phillip Mossman, Antonio Hart, Darren Barret, Michel Camilo, Logan Richardson, Orrin Evans ...etc. With 18 years working and studying the trumpet, I have been fortunate to play with numerous artists and projects such as Phillip Dizack, Nelson Cascais, Kyle Poole, Dyna Stephens, Walter White, L.A.R. Legido, Jesús Santandreu, Pontejazz Big Band, CSM Big Band and also with different groups and orchestras of dance and Latin music. As a teacher, I have experience teaching in different schools, teaching trumpet lessons, music theory, and choir and ensemble conduction, working with both young children and adults and the elderly, aged between 4 and 85. You could find very fun and interesting excercies for improving your coordination while learing intriguing drum beats!But also...you are a fan of progressive music but you're having troubles playing that weird odd-meter...I'll show you how simple and easy can be to play that 5/8! Do you have a solid rhythmic fundation and you want to get in touch with Jazz or Latin music? Learning a language, especially if you are not a mother-tongue, is very hard. Generally I believe that to learn how to express yourself through your instrument is a life-long learning process. I can show you the first steps you need to take for applying your technical skills and coordination in these styles. We can listening to recordings and to check how the drummer accompanies his band mates, how he expresses his solo ideas. We can transcribe comping ideas, solo ideas, and of course I'll show the approach I use to learn and to digest this information to make it mine. I'm a multi-instrumentalist, I provide classes a variety of instruments in different musical styles (jazz, pop, world music, classical). I can also teach music theory and solfege (how to read and write music). I always try to engage my students by focusing on what they really want to learn.

I am an italian bass player, I'm 25 years old and actually I am finishing the last year of my bachelor in jazz music at Codarts. If you're a beginner i will teach you the basics of the instrument and the basics of musical theory (wich is essential to be a good bass player). We will also dive into various musical genres, trying to have a complete approach to music as possible. If you already play bass and want to improve your skills or your knowledge of musical theory i will teach you some advanced techniques and focus on advanced harmony and studies for improvisation.
