I propose a course designed to train you in Photography and Videography. The course is a double process, both theoretical at first, then supported by practice with a concrete project to be realized. This course is based on an exchange of confidence that will enhance the artistic and technical skills related to various imaging techniques (digital and film).

I am a Slovak professional freelance photographer and videographer based in Brussels. I specialize in event photography and in capturing human motion with more than 8 years of a professional career. In the beginning, I was a self-educated photographer, but in 2016 I graduated and got a BA degree in Photography from a University in the UK. I teach a hands-on class. We go through theory and directly apply it in practice. I live close to a large park, where we can find all kinds of subjects. From landscapes, portraits, abstracts, animals, night... My aim is to provide a good knowledge for photographers from pre-productions all the way through production and offer some post-production techniques/tips as well. There is a lot to learn! I believe in a constant education myself since the technology keeps on evolving. I use Nikon DLSR and SLR cameras but the same principals apply to any kind of DSLR, SLR, mirrorless cameras.

In this class I will teach you three main sectors of industry to help you grow your own freelance creative business, or for you to hone your creative skills in a new job in which you work your way up in the industry. This class will also be a way to find work through your creative passions. My first class will be in Filmmaking specifically Directing and Cinematography. My second class will be in marketing, optimising exposure for your growing business or to help advertise yourself and your skills for employers in industry My third and final class will be in photography specifically studio Photography aswell as how to compose a shot so you capture the best photos

In this class, you will learn about the intersections of film and philosophy in a way that will prepare you to excel in college-level film studies courses. If a college course mentions being an introduction to “film studies” or “film theory”, then you can imagine this as the Apprentus equivalent of that! PDFs for reading and discussion will be sent out long before class meeting sessions, along with a list of questions we will discuss together as a group. Audio and video editing are essential in all audiovisual projects, which is why in order to carry out any audiovisual project, you need to understand how to do good editing. This means understanding the good practices inherent to an audiovisual project, the software (here Adobe Premiere Pro), and all the steps that constitute this practice, to carry it out in the best conditions.
