About Me

I describe myself as a goofy nerd. I have a passion for all things science. I started out working as an engineering intern for Hewlett-Packard early in my life and I realized, the traditional Silicon Valley Tech job wasn't for me, but I knew I loved to talk about STEM fields.

As I was finishing up my B.S. in Physics, I found myself taking on more and more tutoring and student teaching positions. Thus, I decided that teaching and sharing what I do know and love was more my style.

I am a firm believer that you have to do the work and not be afraid to fail. It's through those mistakes you make on your work that you start to figure things out in your head and where the confidence starts to build up.

On my free time I enjoy walking my dog, road cycling, and catching up on my sci fi shows. I have recently come to the Netherlands to join my wife who is Dutch. As I situate myself in my new home, I am getting ready to apply for graduate programs in Physics with an emphasis in education.

Education

California State University East Bay in Hayward California USA.
Bachelor's in Science with a major in Physics.
Graduated in the year 2013.
Transferred from Evergreen Community College in San Jose, CA.

Experience / Qualifications

I have experience teaching math, physics, and engineering at a high school level. I also have over 10 years of experience tutoring in the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, engineering to students from lower school to college level.

Private Math and Physics classes for students in struggle
I am a first-year engineering student in the Netherlands. Originally I am from Bulgaria. I have a lot of general experience with math and physics from a few different teachers and a multitude of competitions on a national level on math and physics, as well as astronomy. I feel confident in my ability to teach school level physics and math, as well as advanced math, beacuse I had the chance to study that before I graduated and started university. Due to this experience, am not having difficulties now I would love to help everyone who feels like they are stuck with those subjects.

Tutoring for mathematics, English and German
I am currently studying psychology in English and I am looking forward to having you as a student! Explaining complicated concepts in a simple way is one of my favorite things. I started doing this at school with my friends and have been doing it as a tutor for over 4 years now. I focus on what you need at that exact moment and I also like to use metaphors and mnemonics to make the topic understandable.

Omar

I help students understand the basics by starting at Level 0. The best results are achieved by combining traditional and new teaching methods. I am a creative teacher. I help students with extracurricular activities. I can help students achieve their educational goals. Your chance of success is guaranteed.

Cedrick
Physics and Mathematics Tutor (presential and on-line classes)
I am passionate about physics and mathematics. My goal in a class is to explain the subject in the simplest way possible. Because of this, I consider the student's opinion about my explanations a constructive criticism, which allows me to fit the subject in the particular manner that is most suitable for the student. Further, while tutoring a student, I tend to identify his/her difficulties and help him/her to overcome them. I believe that my great attention to the student and his/her interests makes the difference in understanding the subject that we are studying. In summary, I am always open to discuss the best approach for each student and tailor that class accordingly. I hope I can be useful for your understanding.
