University-Level Tutoring in Public International Law: Theory and Practice
International Law is a fast-growing area of law in an increasingly globalised world. Taught by the Founder and Director of the World Moot on International Law and Animal Rights, this class combines Public International Law theory with practice. It taught through traditional lessons imparting substantive legal knowledge and legal skills training, including in the form of mooting exercises. We also work on techniques and strategies for assessments, and, to test the student's knowledge, engage in exercises in the form of mock assessments (essays and problem questions) that are graded by the tutor. It encompasses areas of PIL such as International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, and International Law and Armed Conflict.

Methodology and law courses for undergraduate students
Student in M1 Public Law at the University of Paris-II, I give courses in law and methodology for undergraduate students. The courses are mainly intended for law degree students but are open to all. Depending on the needs indicated before the session, I can adapt to all requests and create tailor-made courses in methodology, constitutional law, administrative law, family law, contract law, tort law and other degree subjects. The goal is to help you master points of law that may have remained obscure and to better explain the course. To this end, I also offer help in carrying out tutorials. I can also prepare a detailed correction of an assignment that would have been sent to me in advance. Having completed part of my law studies abroad, I can also provide help with assignments to be submitted in English and more generally in subjects taught in English. Christian
Planning on studying law? Want to know more about how the law works? Want to know how to write like a lawyer? Then this class is for you!
Hello! My name is Christian and I am a qualified solicitor back in my home country of New Zealand.I've recently moved to London and before I embark on my next professional adventure, I thought it might be a nice time to give back some of the knowledge I've collected over my studies and professional experience. I took great satisfaction when I helped my younger brother during his legal studies (and even more so when I admitted him to become a lawyer). I spent many years trying to grasp what the law is, how to write a 'legal opinion', how to write 'like a lawyer' - even how to 'think like a lawyer'. Surprisingly, all thise things are actually quite helpful even if you don't want to become a lawyer. Understanding the law can help you know your rights better, it can help you solve problems more logically, it can help you write more concisely and more persuasively. Anywhere you go or whatever you want to do, somewhere along the line the law will be involved - if ever so slightly. And the best part is, there is always more to learn! Even the finest judges, or the most distinguished King's Counsel don't know everything about the law (although they;d be pretty bloody close). So let me know whether you're studying law and want some help with your studies, whether you want to improve your writing or negotiating skills, whether you want to learn abit more about the law that affects you, or whether you want to know what its' like working as a lawyer. There are no silly questions in my class! (Please note that this class is not and cannot be constituted as 'legal advice', it is for educational purposes only!) Look forward to meeting you all, Christian Oh and if I haven't selected available times that would suit you better, please drop me a line and I'll see what can be arranged.

Teaching International Humanitarian Law at 2 Levels; Intermediate - Advanced
With over one year experience in teaching and a decade long experience with adolescents and young adults, I, herein, present my course in "International Humanitarian Law". In today's globalized world where the effects and repercussions of a conflict are not confined within a single state, it becomes crucial to know what rules are in place that regulate conflict and provide protection to those who are vulnerable. Aiming to mitigate and prevent human suffering in an armed conflict, International Humanitarian Law gives us answers to questions, such as: who can and cannot be targeted and under which conditions; at what times does a protected person lose protection; who is a combatant; what distinguishes a combatant from a civilian; and, what protections are available to those who do not take part in an armed conflict. Amidst the many interstate conflicts, such as, Ukraine-Russia, Iran-Israel and Palestine-Israel conflicts, as well as the intrastate ones, such as in Sudan, having a working knowledge of International Humanitarian Law becomes even more vital as it re-establishes one's trust in law and humanity at such uncertain times as these ones.
