I have worked for over 30 years, in London, UK between July 1994 and September 2024 in different cultural centers (BBC London too), universities, private schools, singing studios, etc... I am currently living in Osaka, Japan since September 2024 where I teach French and English (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level). In addition to that, I am studying in a language school, the Japanese language (Level A2: Elementary). I also have experience in teaching online, almost every day for 25 years now, and I really consider it the best new way to learn languages, so useful and effective for both teachers and students. During my lessons, I will help you progress in French using methods that are perfectly adapted to your learning style and your current language level. We will work on your weaknesses and strengths to find the best method for progression. We will cover many different topics to optimize your French language learning. You will learn how to use vocabulary and grammar in real-life situations such as daily conversations, live readings of French texts, sentence and text writing exercises, and discussions on topics of your choice. I would be happy to teach even if you want to start from scratch. From the beginning, I focus especially on learning the right pronunciation. I know it can be difficult sometimes but you can be really comfortable: French pronunciation is less difficult than you can imagine. It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)

Awni is a wonderful instructor! He is very patient, will answer any question you can think of, and can have a laugh with you during lessons as well! His lessons are very helpful and structured, he is willing to go at your pace and repeat or go over things as many times as needed. It is very evident he is professional and has more than enough education and knowledge to teach the language very thoroughly!! I would highly recommend to take him as a teacher!
